Paris St Germain have made an audacious attempt to sign QPR skipper Adel Taarabt.

talkSPORT has been told that the French side, bankrolled by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), have made a £10m bid for the current Championship player of the season.

QPR boss Neil Warnock will be desperate to keep the Moroccan, who’s 19 league goals last season helped the west Londoners return to the Premier League for the first time in 15 years, but he appears to be facing a fight to keep hold of his star man.

The 22-year-old has been linked with summer moves to Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, but a return to France, where he previously played for Lens, could appeal to Taarabt after just two seasons at Loftus Road

If this is genuine, we may be about to find out a little more about how next season will pan out.

I've got a feeling we are going to accept this. Will Taarabt want to go back to France though before he has proved himself in the Prem? Gutted if we sell him but if that gives us a £20 million plus transfer kitty maybe we should. Whats the chances of that though.......

wow 40%, jesus thats a huge dent. Just hope you guys actually get the funds behind you, would be good to see the likes of wolves and wigan to drop instead of the new comers, they been dodging relegation for a long time, be good to see how strong over 2 - 3 seasons each swansea, Qpr, and norwich could become.

I just stopped and thought of this scenario, tell me if its possible.. If spurs bought him for 10 mill, that means they would still get the sell on amount right ? Just checking out of curiosity.

Harry's happy he's gone and he'll make money, no way he'll go to Spurs.

If the stated £6m becomes THE transfer budget, we're even more ****ed than we were this morning...

That £6m needs to go straight into finding a player to replace him. One who can win a good number of games by scoring and assisting at least 35 goals a season.

Then the other £6/10/12m needs to go into producing the core of a team to go with this unlikely find.

    Big ask though, innit?!

This is their opening bid though, so if we reject it, we should receive a second offer. We may be able to get as much as 20million for him if we reject this one. They'll bid again, probably in the region of 11-12million, and we may get an offer from another club of around 12.5million, then another club pushes it abit further at 13.5million, and now we have a bidding war. Someone goes 14million, then another club goes for a 15million bid. Then it just goes on until all but 1 club folds, and we've agreed a deal. Hey-presto.

to be honest 10 mill is a good deal. I only hope that Taarabt wats to prove he can cut the mustard in the premier league and give Mr Wenger something to think about

The way I look on this is how do we replace him with just £10 million? Or even £6 million after Spurs have had their cut. He may crash and burn next season, but who could we buy that may offer us the same? I agree that he may be a total flop next season, but where is the better alternative?

Couldn't you guys try sell him for 10 mill on the condition he stays on loan for you guys for another season ? Which would you rather, 12 million for him or 10 million on condition he stays for the year on loan ? Might give you guys time to then replace him.

No-one will pay £10 million for an established player to stay on loan in the same division, they do it with teenagers in lower divisions but not someone like Taarabt. We'll probably get him back on loan by Christmas when he's had three or four major strops...
