I'm absolutely buzzing about the new season. The signings that we have made thus far show the intent fro our club this season. Hazard, Marin and (nearly) Oscar are all great players which will add much needed pace to our attacking force. Reports suggest we are in for Azpilicueta which is great news. He looks class and isn't too expensive. A young right back to replace Bosingwa. As European Champions I can't wait for this season. The transfers have been great. All of us fans have high spirits. I'll be heading to Wigan for the opening daay of the season ready for a rollercoaster of a season as per usual but hopefully one where we will succeed again. Bring. It. On!
I know we will miss Drogs, but I agree with you! After seeing the show against Seattle and knowing the quality of our large and talented squad--all I can say is bring on the quadruple!
I'll settle for the PL and a good shot at retaining the CL. ManU,Citeh and the others can squabble about the other 5.
I want the CL again. Once you've tasted success in it once it changes your entire outlook on the competition. At the moment i don't believe we have a side that can match the consistency of City or maybe United over 38 games. But in individual games we are as good as them if not better. Plus it would be priceless to see all those bitter idiots claiming it was a fluke have to explain how a "fluke" happened twice in a row CL for me, Top 3, Good FA Cup run and I'll be more than happy
i will settle for top three, a good run in the cl, defending the fa cup and di matteo still being in charge for the following season
Just imagine winning the CL again. In 1 year we'd have achieved what United have struggled to do 31. It would put us way above any London club. Even Arsenal IMO
i think the fact that we have won it and the goons aint already puts us way above them, certainly on the european stage
You can't argue with their domestic success though. Even if they weren't alive when half those trophies were won it still counts. if we won another CL I'd go on a limb and so no London club would ever get near that in my lifetime. That would put us up there with the Inter's, Barcelona's, United's of this world for me.
But for being robbed by Barca and Liverpool,the disaster that was Monaco and a post in Russia we'd already be out of sight. Now the 1st one's here the next won't be far behind.
Steady on boys, yes you won th CL but as with most clubs with the aid of a bit of luck, just look forward to next season. With the players you have bought i see you as one of the best squads the premiership has seen in a while and think at the moment you are the team we need to finish above to win the league. Enjoy the champions league but don`t feel too bad if your defence of it doesn`t turn out as good as you might think.
you guys definitely have reason to be happy as you undoubtedly have one of the best squads in the pl and possibly the world. A lot of expectation from you..however do you think that expectation may in any way prove to be something of a burden on the squad in that they may feel having to justify their price tag and reputation? Honest question btw!
