I lied it will be boring Derby v UTD UTD 25 times FA cup winners v 14 times Carling cup winners Free scoring UTD take on the tightest defense win the world. Expect goal end action (in another game) 0-0 is the expected result.
Woodward has said he's going to assess Van Gaal's employment game by game So basically next loss he's out
I think this game is critical for LvG in that the FA Cup sponsored by Daz, Bovril, Head & Shoulders and McVities represents the last real opportunity to win silver this season. Having been dumped out of every other trophy competition, if we lose to Derby I believe that will be the end of it. Woodward and the rest of the board cannot just sit in the box and watch a team of our global stature lose out on any domestic trophies without taking action.
As much as I enjoy the FA Cup - I would prefer we lost tonight if it guaranteed that LvG was sacked. Sad, but there it is.
I find myself thinking like that. Which is a certain sign that we wish the manager to piss off. Whenever did we wish the team to lose? It is all the bloody fault of that muppet Woodward to declare that he is safe for the time being. If we could be sure that he'll leave OT if we lose then I am sure many of us would want Derby to have a great day. But we could have a situation where we lose and Woody the muppet keeps him in post as he is too cowardly to pull the trigger.
It's a damning indictment of any fan to say they want their club to lose - but if it absolutely guaranteed he walked I would be able to live with myself. The nightmare begins when we lose and he stays in the job - his comments to the press almost suggest he knows he is safe.
Probably the case and unless we want Giggs in temporary charge again also the best option. Unless we miraculously go on a mad, entertaining, winning streak van Gaal won't be manager next season. That's not going to happen though so I imagine he'll see the season out and leave. He'll know this by now and United should be sounding out every viable option to see who replaces him. Unfortunately the only thing I'm fairly certain of is Woodward will likely **** that up. That said, I get the suspicion that this time it actually will he Guardiola, although I was certain he was waiting for Ferguson to leave just before he comes to Bayern. Anyway, back to the match. Can see us losing this so we'll then see.
Carrick should be playing the first hour - we need his passing skills and cool head. If we're behind or we are trying to preserve a lead after that, then take him off. No good bringing him onn when its all gone mental on the field.
come on utd, need van gaal in charge for least another few weeks i'm joking, ****ing hope you ****s get dick slapped all over
I don't think LVG will get the sack whatever happens tonight. 2 teams that play possession football. Looks like a bore-fest on paper, here's hoping though!
