I wonder if Syd & Mick could work on a small premier league board so teams like Spurs, Fulham, QPR, Norwich, Swansea e.t.c. They could all talk about relegation matters without annoying the big clubs.

He could well be injured but Spurs fans surely can't blame the media and Chelsea fans speculation given it is one of them short term generic injuries being cited and also helps to protect his value if he doesn't play. If Spurs wanted to make a statement, they could easily have him on the bench and put him on for the last minute of the game (assuming they are winning) to really say 'look he is going nowhere'.
Just seen some of Redknapp's comments from yesterday where he made reference to selling modric and bringing in a few players to better the team. Is Spurs' stance softening?? Maybe he has had a good look at him in training and realised his heart is elsewhere? This is going to keep running by the looks of it.

He would be if Spurs qualify apparently (which is pretty certain given its Hearts). Seems one of those silly rules but there you go. If this is going to get done, it really needs to be sorted quickly for all parties sake.
I think it is a symptom of the early roman years. Clubs and agents obviously aren't used to the idea that we aren't going to get ripped off anymore and negotiations therefore get protracted. See Luiz in January, deal looked dead to be revived at the 11th Hour.

We had an article on whether he'd be cuptied when the Man Utd and Chelsea interest first came up. It seems he would only be inelligible for Europa games for another team. There are rumours that Chelsea have been co-operating with Levy keeping their bids quiet and negotiations have been going on over the past week. I certainly hope this is all BS though.
