I thought I'd indulge in a separate thread about this as its all to easy to have a whinge but occasionally people go the extra mile for you and cheer you up. I've been entertaining you all with my deliberations about buying a season ticket on a separate thread. I went down to the Valley this morning to see what was what. Commercial centre closed so ticket sales being undertaken from the superstore. Had a really nice chat with the girls and boys in there. They spent loads of time with me looking at options on the computer screen and, when I couldn't make my mind up between a couple of options, took me and my mate into the stadium to walk around and try out some of the available seats! We walked all through the West Upper, onto the track and behind the goals in front of the Jimmy Seed and up into the East. We had a great time. So take a bow folks. Excellent customer service and two very happy new season ticket holders!
Shocking story- CP and JJ should have given that tour Seriously, it's excellent news and good to hear about having two new season ticket holders
Good to hear, however I am under the impression that the superstore gets very little customers outside of matchdays (I may be wrong). They might have just gone the extra mile because they finally had a customer
Thats good to hear Jimbob. Especially as i am intending to go to The Valley next week to do the same thing. One question, i am intending on buying 2 - but they are likely to be used by a mixture of myself, my son (older than 18), my other sons (younger than 18) and mates with children - mainly because of my location dictates that i wont be able to go to every game. My assumption is that I am going to have to buy 2 adult tickets - cant see any other way they would be able to do it - i'm assuming CAFC dont care if the ticket is transferred ? Also, can you still buy ST's for remainder of this season?
Brilliant news Stu - really hoping we get a rocking Valley next season. A bigger crowd will hopefully help the team continue the momentum!
Stu, when you go to game with an ST they just check the match number they do not check who is using it
I don't think transferability is a problem Stu. Its still a book full of ticket vouchers rather than a card/chip and pin system. So long as you have the voucher you will get in. Not sure what happens if an adult goes in on a kids ticket - I guess it will depend on the vigilance of the turnstile attendant and your own conscience. You can always buy a junior ticket and upgrade at each game where its relevant to do so by taking the voucher to the commercial centre and paying the difference. I didn't ask about STs for the rest of the season, mainly because I'm having my op next wednesday so Tuesday night will probably be my last game for a few weeks until I'm brave enough to go back. I did suggest that they might give me a good deal for Tuesday on the back of my season ticket purchase, but no dice! Oh and incidentaly I answered my own question abot the colour of the seats in West and North Upper - they are indeed red, but they are so faded that they look grey! So I wasn't hallucinating after all!
