Not sure if you've seen this site but www.myfootyclubkeyring.com sell excellent 'custom' Cardiff City keyrings. they're on the home page as well (16th out of all devisions)
This geyser is trying to peddle these keyrings on lots of clubs pages, usually the ones with the biggest subscriptions. Hope you make a couple of quid out of it DAN.
Cheers I don't sell them for much more than they cost me to make. I'll be happy to break even and cover the URL/web hosting costs etc. Anyway, I thought I'd start a site like this because there aren't many places that do custom footy gifts. people seem to love these though
Dan, hopefully you are aware of the terms - intellectual property rights or copyright. It is possible, although I am no expert in this field, that you may actually be breaking the law by showing sponsors logos and the clubs official crests, unless of course you have written permission to display them. Something you perhaps need to look in to whether you are making a profit or not Like I say, I am no expert and I might be wrong but it may be wise to look in to it and potentially save you some trouble in the future.
yep, this is illegal, you need the permission of the clubs you use to make and sell these. if not then you are no different really to a chinese manufacturer making fake man u shirts. nice idea but if someone finds out about this you could get into a spot of bother, check the government website it will have plenty of advice on there mate
and the official Man Utd shirts are made in Bangkok (so i am led to believe), I bet they cost no more than £2.00 each after import duties and other expenses.
good on u dan keep up the sales dude, everybody is a bit fkd off with what he clubs are charging us for similar products. look products are there 2 be abused and unless they drop prices people will always look at cheaper alternatives>>>>this is the real world
Yes, this is copyright infringement if you are not an authorised distributor of the clubs goods or brand. Getting the relevant authorisation will indeed impact your ability to under cut the big boys.
Yes I do Just quote the kit you'd like when you order, I create all the templates myself so I can do whatever kit you'd like
Thanks for the advice I can't really see clubs having an issue with someone making a few quid. many grounds have people outside selling unofficial scarfs, hats, shirts, etc and they're always a stones throw from the ground itself, so if they had an issue with these people then these people would be removed but they've always done it. I also have the site registered with the Inland Revenue so I'm paying tax on every sale
Thanks also for the advice I've been asked before about the sponsors and I can't see them having a problem as it's free advertising for them. also, photographers sell match pictures to the press, those pictures have the shirts/sponsors on so it's the same thing really. I hope no one has a problem though as I enjoy making these keyrings for people as everyone seems to love them
no problem mate, always good to see people starting up businesses but check the laws here. http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/wales..._are_not_as_described_e/counterfeit_goods.htm i believe the worst they would do would be to seize all your goods. its up to you whether you continue trading but i'd advise you to be 'legit'.
