I remember someone touching on this a while ago, not sure if they made an article, but today was thinking about how dissapointed our last set of youngsters turned out to be, players like David Edgar & Paul Huntington were meant to turn good but never really settled.

What other players can you remember that have been good young prospects for us in the recent past and have failed to make an impact?

Chopra and Offiong looked great together in the youth team but just didn't go on from there.

Didn't know he was at Gateshead, he's been shipped about a bit lately though. Been at Carlisle and up in Scotland but seemed to go off the tracks somewhere.

At the time they were playing together they had a great understanding and always knew where to find each other. I thought they'd have made it big here.

Ramage and Taylor came into the team together and both looked good.

    Ramage was always rubbish.

    Offiong scored goals for Hamilton.

Edgar was average but heard nothing of in 2 years.

    What about Pattison? Alan O'Brien?

I think O'Brien is at Swindon and Pattison went back to South Africa.

Edgar could have stayed, jumped ship to Burnley thinking the grass was greener! Think he's on loan in the championship now!

Not the best opening to an article I've ever read
