Mark Gower ultimately ended up in the Premier League with Swansea, although it was quite the circuitous route to get there

Paul McVeigh also wound up back in the PL with Norwich for a season, but did alright for himself in the second tier

Rory Allen seemed to be establishing himself in the second tier at Portsmouth, but then ankle and knee injuries ended his career in 2002

Luke young went on to a long career at Charlton ... think he played for us under Bloke in a coat and Hoddle too
Young also picked up a few England caps

Come to think of it, his career was quietly respectable, as he stayed in the PL at Charlton, Middlesbrough, Villa and QPR, playing top flight football every season from 1998 to 2013
