Better let everyone know that we were aware that Rickie has been selected for his full England Shirt!
It 'll be great to see him get his first start for England in a competitive fixture. Come on Sir Rickie and come on England!
2 assists now along side his goal. i know its only moldova but who can only play whats put in front of you. wonder if he will start on tuesday as well. if you add his competitive minutes together in an england shirt, he has played less than 90 minutes (25 vs scotland and 57 so far vs moldova), he has got 2 goals and 2 assists from 5 goals that has been scored while he has been on the pitch. oh, and he hit the post as well in his last game. can fault him.
i can remember when he was still with us and i said he would make it in the prem if given a chance. people laughed. i can remember when he was in the championship with the saints and i said he would make it for england if given a chance. people laughed.
he has created a few chances for others too. set up baines and welbeck who should have done better. commentators have really taken a shine to his all round play. exactly what we all been saying for years and years. he gets a standing ovation as he is subbed off. i guess he is being saved for tuesday
Well done Rickie - another excellent performance for England. I really have to laugh at the desperate Reds - how long were they telling us he was **** and wouldn't deliver in the Championship/Premier League. Now listen to them. Such rank, shameless hypocrites.
Because Rovers are a family club and Rickie is still considered one of our family, even though he has moved on to better things, we still feel that he is one of us. It is a shame that so many of them cannot understand that, because they obviously don't have the same sense of loyalty to their ex-players.
Love the goals, but those two assists are really what makes Rickie a bit special. Plus he's an all around top man. Cap number 3 on Tuesday, maybe the biggest game of his career.
Glad to see you guys still follow his career. A lot of players come and go and some fans resent players who move on. For the saints rickie will always be a legend, England call up or not. We are so pleased for him and proud of him. His story is now well known and the Gas have played an important part in his development. Good luck for the season and have you got anymore Lamberts in your squad
Try telling the ****heads we had a part to play on his progress We have followed his progress with you guys from the start was a legend, still is a legend, and will be until the day he dies.
