Just watching the prem prog and Petr Chech is on. Long time Chelsea, now Arsenal. What's your thoughts on any ex players, especially when they return with their new team? Surely Rooney gets a warm reception. But some other players might not.
Wouldn't know seeing as we never sell any of our players I don't really care about any of the players once they leave tbh. Never boo'd a returning player either. The way Lallana left wasn't great at the time, same goes for Van Dijk but soon as they pissed off it's business as usual. Getting decent cash helps soften the blow too.
Gotta love adebayour when he returned Tbh me personly I hate the muted celebration when scoring against an old club.
Last time I remember being annoyed was when we sold Dean Richards to Spurs. Wasn't that chuffed when we sold Bale or Walcott either.
Gotta say also that as a player you want to play for the best clubs and compete. So if you're an arsenal player you got to sooner or later say "I need to go" or if you're a Spurs player and can earn £200k a week instead of £60k I would never begrudge a player for either of those reasons
Too much **** in real life to care about overpaid footballers ****ing off to other teams. That and the fact that as a Saints fan you just kinda get used to it.
