What do you miss the most from home..?

Being a lad who was born in Sunderland, brought up in County Durham but spent many years in Teesside through marriage, I miss my Parmos, my kids, grand kids, craic, people in general and most of all the ethics of having the North East around..

I'm hardly an ex-pat like, only in York but after 5 years of having these thick, ignorant, chocolate making freaks around me, goddddddddd, i wish I was home where I belong..

We miss having you here too.
It might only be an hour away, but with the busy lives we both have, it might aswell be 6 hours away!

Over here we are a mirror image of UK except for the football as there's is the wrong shape for me. Fish and chips, pie shops etc and all the usual UK grub dishes all beautifully cooked by the Chinese or Vietnamese and they do ponce about with the basic ingredients. Only thing missing is the local pub but we have decent ex-servicemen's club so really the only thing loss I have is going to the match rather than watching on telly, but at my age I doubt if I would be going to many.

Depends where I'm living, further away I go the more of Europe as a whole I miss. But for me it's the people of the north east, friends, family and going to the match.
