Ex mod notice

Morning folks,

I recently decided to step down from the mod role - it's been a fairly quiet spell by all accounts but I've had days where I've been responding to PMs well into the early hours when my battle with the snooze button is only a few hours away. In the last couple of weeks the free time has pretty much disappeared altogether.

I misjudged my available time more than the time required and did so from a desire to contribute something back to this wonderful forum.

For those who haven't noticed my absence, carry on.

Be good, and be nice to Nines - he's a great guy. If you're having a spat, try to sort it out yourself because it does take time to sort out. If you have a complaint then follow the procedures. You're all clever people and decent ones at that so play nicely if possible.

Thanks for your efforts, Matt .................. they were appreciated. Only when someone becomes a 'mod' do you realise how much effort it takes. It can often be a 'no win situation' but it does have it's rewarding points as well.

As an ex-mod myself, I know all about the time pressures of the role behind the scenes, Matt, so you're pushing against an open door as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for all your efforts. I echo that sentiment that members must take responsibility to self-moderate and not let spats and handbags develop into anything more.
