    From the BBC Website:

Patrice Evra admitted his France side had been left frustrated by England's tactics during the 1-1 draw in the opening Euro 2012 Group D game.

The Manchester United full-back claimed it was like watching Chelsea's Champions League semi-final rearguard action against Barcelona.

Evra said: "I think we played much better than England, but in the end it was a draw and we are a bit frustrated.

"They played in the way that Chelsea played against Barcelona."

Draw didn't flatter England - Hodgson
Joleon Lescott gave England the lead but Manchester City team-mate Samir Nasri equalised to ensure both teams take a point into their second games in Group D.

"At times it was like there were 15 bodies on the pitch," continued the 31-year-old.

"People laugh and maybe they want England to play more football, but if they win the tournament playing like that, they will be happy."

France coach Laurent Blanc said his side will have to start better in their remaining group games.

"England were excellent for the first 20 minutes," he said. "We took a while to get into the game and, as ever, we were punished.

"Perhaps it was inexperience but we didn't start the game as we'd hoped to. Had we not reacted we could have lost this game.

"I hope that doesn't happen again. In the next game, we have to get into it right from the outset."

Erm, shouldnt someone tell him that Chelsea are the Champions of Europe?

Unless I am mistaken, its the team that lifts the trophy in the final that are the winners and champions, not the prettiest playing football team? Barcelona, Real Madrid and probably 1 or 2 others in the Champs league played far better football and are better technical teams but is the pragmatic and dogged style of Chelsea that lifted club footballs crown jewels this season gone.

If England continue to be as well organised and disciplined in the next 5 games (should they make it that far) then there wont be many countries that will fancy the task of playing us. I for one really dont give a **** about playing pretty football and would rather we win the Euros or the WC at any cost. WE also have Rooney back in 1 games time to offer a better cutting edge and goal threat and to be fair he is one of the hardest working forwards in football today anyway so will love this team formation and style.

We can worry about how pretty it looks after that. To be honest, I'd say the same about SAFC in that I couldt care less if we are boring as **** if we lift the FA Cup or League Cup next season

He did mention that we won't care if we win it playing like that.

He failed to point out however, that France played like Stoke when not in possession, cynically bringing down our players whenever there was a chance of a counter attack.

I sense some bitterness from Patrice! <laugh> I think he may be flattering France more than a little to make the CL final comparison. If we're Chelsea that would make them Barcelona. On that showing they are no better than us, and certainly not one of the best teams around. I must have been mistaken when I saw them chasing shadows for the first half hour.......

The biggest culprit for dirty play was one monsieur Cabaye?

Dirty, cynical and unpunished. He could have easily been sent off with 2 bookings but just as with with his last EPL season, he got away with meurtre.

Aye you'd never have thought Cabaye and Benni played for us if you'd been in my house last night. They got some serious grief! I can't believ the number of negative *****s we have in this country. We did ok against a decent French side. yet if you read some of the ****e flying around, we did nothing but park the bus. For the first half hour we played them off the park. THEY were the ones chasing shadows! Then we got a bit deep after we scored and never really backed ourselves enough to stop doing so. We still did ok and were probably good value for a draw given they never really looked likely bar Cabaye deflected effort and Diaby's header.

Gerrard I thought was outstanding overall but he was a main culprit in us sitting back. Parker is meant to be deeper but Gerrard got on top of his centre halfs too and it stopped us playing a high line meaning the defenders couldn't get out. Its the sort of thing a good team will take on board in any de- brief, and remember for when they get ahead again.

All the French are dirty bastards. They are well known for taking the least showers in the whole of Europe.

As for the taxi driver, i'd love to have seen him up against Roy Keane in his hayday, lol.

"Take that ya dirty froggy, scrawny prick & stop picking on the kids!"

    Ouch!

England did NOT play like Chelski. Not once when a decision went against us did the players mob the ref.

No England player over 5 foot 5 fell down when tackled as if a sniper had got them from row z.

    We were not arrogant.

Our goalie didn't wear a silly hat.

Mind you. We did have to keep Terry on the pitch so that he couldn't try to shag the nearest female security guard.
