Great team selection; tactics and performance. We were so obviously the better team again and should have won by 9 or 10 goals. I was relieved to see the team sheet and see Altidore nowhere near it and even more excited to see the pacy nimble Larsson in central midfield and the goal poacher extraordinaire Ji up front with Wickham. I was so pleased to see Cabral overlooked again as well.

My immediate emotion was one of excitement and anticipation for the victory to come and to watch the sparkling free flowing passing football we all crave.

    Okay, then I woke up.

Where was Altidore? Injured? Sick? Or dropped?

What is this fascination with Ji? He is a shocking footballer and offers nothing at all? Would rather have played Mandron with Wickham. Ji is PDC's choice not forced on him.

Why is Cabral suddenly a leper? Where is the likes of Ba?

If MoN had put this team out and served up that utter ****e there would be mass demonstrations on this board and people full of fury venting their spleens at each other.

Where it not for the brilliance of Fletcher who actually looked like a striker and gave us a massive goal threat after 5 months out, today would have been the worst day so far under PDC.

Getting better? Are we **** we are as bad if not worse than under MoN although I'm sure there will be plenty out there offering excuse after excuse.

I raised a thread on Tuesday saying PDC was in trouble and was castigated for it but whether you all like it or not I'll say it again.

We are in trouble and all PDC's after-match interview told me is he has no ideas beyond wanting MORE players (he has brought in 11 already btw) to give him more options to change the team, formation and plan on a game by game basis.

What will be the team against Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd (our next 3 games) is anyone's guess but I'll guarantee you now it wont be the same one for all 3. We have little plan, little thought and no consistency in the thinking. Chopping and changing players from game to game is amateurish behavior, or hauling people off in humiliating fashion may have worked for him in the 3rd division but this is the EPL and I am afraid I have severe doubts he has what it takes to manager at this level at all. In his 10 competitive games his teams have had 4 dismissals; scored 10 goals and conceded 16. 9 points from 30 available and W2/D3/L5 20% win ratio.

In those 10 games we have not exactly played top class team either. Southampton; Stoke; Villa; Fulham; Crystal Palace and the Nags. Only Chelsea, Spurs and Everton were top class teams imo. We look disjointed and tactically poor so far this season and baring a remarkable comeback against a lower league team on Tuesday we would be starring down a barrel right now already this season.

I know I will get the usual stick and grief and no doubt be called a mag or a ****e supporter blah blah blah but we are already in a relegation fight in my mind already and I have massive doubt as to whether PDC has what it takes. PDC has returned 0.9 points per game in his 10 game run and that doesn't equate to many points over 38. I'm not saying that this is how it will all go this season but its clear to even the most loyal and supportive fan that all is not well. PDC is talking a good fight but I'm afraid 1 wonderful derby game should not cloud our judgement that the football is rank. This is his team already as he has brought in 11 of HIS players so we can judge him right now but he isn't picking them or is subbing them at the drop of a hat.

Like I said, if MoN had put out that midfield and paired Ji with Wickham and lost the game 3-1 today he would have been called every name under the sun.

We're in the **** all right and we need to get out the **** asap but our next 5 games are Arsenal, WBA, Liverpool, Man Utd, and Swansea. Thank **** for Swansea as without them we would be bottom right now. Our 6th game is against the filth. I think by the time we play them on the 27th September we will be cut adrift and be firmly entrenched in the dogfight. We had to get off to a decent start this season with the fixture list we were given. We have had a mare of a start imo.

Okay, over to all the abuse I will no doubt get right now....it wont change our position though.

You get my vote, PDC is just breaking into management and I feel he needs help. Too full of his own opinion to listen anyone or see where he is failing.

    No grief from me mate.

I still back Paolo and I did want him, he was my first choice.

The facts are, we DO look poor, and there is a massive concern about the calibre of player we are bringing in, and more importantly, ruling out or selling.

The only loyalty we are seeing from the manager is towards Larsson, extraordinary really, whilst a game changer in Sess and a leader in Catts are castigated.

I'm worried, I was worried after Fulham, and I was worried after Southampton. 78 minutes into MK Dons we were getting ****ed.

It's a **** bite of reality really, none of the new signings look bad players, but as you say, we aren't a team as he mashes it up constantly, and what the **** with Vaughan who does nothing but pass 6 yards.

I would like to know how much say he is having in the signings.

I have a mate who knows a guy who once shagged a cleaner at the SOL, who reckons he ain't too enamoured of a couple of lads that have been brought in as oppose to the ones he wanted..

We seem to be happy with cheap players on low wages, that get you nowhere in football though.

I do agree with some of Cest's points but I always knew this season would be tough, I am not sure why we expected any different, people were kidding if they expected a top ten finish.

I wont judge until xmas though and after deadline day.

So you're the elected spokesman of the majority are you?

Actually no, you're just a knacker who thinks he's addressing the nation and spends hours pontificating.

You must sit back, from your PC, and think, 'There, that's told them!'

It's just endless waffle ............ 'the rest of the world', dear God, that's pitiful.

    Altidore- Injured
Ji or Fletcher? Would always be a risk starting Fletch
Cabral-Larsson- Gardner-Vaughan. How is Cabral doing in training Cest? We can't just grow a couple of midfielders. We don't know if Cabral is struggling. We can't just mindlessly 2nd guess the Cabral situation and judge. The rest aren't good enough as we know, no new info there
Ba- He's bloody kid man. Was never signed for the first team. Palace would have snapped him in half.

We've got a lot of new players and the rest haven't performed for years or since they've signed for us excluding Fletch.

Glad you have a magic wand because I ****ing well don't and neither does anybody else, Paolo included. We all knew the going would tough at first.

I knew your positivity wouldn't last two minutes. The difference between you and the other doom mongers is that you drone on and on and on.

    There's you're abuse. ;)

i say lets wait and see what happens by 11pm on monday, after that we can judge imho, the job is only 85% complete.

the fact that we have brought in 11 or 12(including ki) and only 3 of them started today is a major concern for me

To be fair PP, Celusktra looks good, Diakite is getting better, Cabral, apart from 1 mistake, looked good, Giacchi looks canny, Karlson will improve as will Ba. Any of these are imo better than Seb, Vaughan, Gards etc.
PDC knows he needs the midfield sorting but agree playing Seb/Vaughan was a very very poor choice. he will not make that mistake again.

Get midfield sorted and I still believe we will improve and get a few points were not expected to. A very poor start to the season but tbh I never expected the team to play well early on.

You're still a pathetic, self opinionated (and extremely boring) individual aren't you Smug despite your celebrated exile. Sadly your verbal defecation looks set to stink up this board until you hopefully disappear sooner rather than later again. You've done nothing but fight and bicker since you came back with everyone on here.

Roll on that day when we are again shot of you chum.

Wouldn't it be a concern if we started a totally new team?

Mannone was brought in as back up, Altidore isn't fit, etc etc etc ........... the bloke is trying to change a club that's been **** for 4 decades.

It hurts me to say that but it's true,

People can't give him a few weeks but on't have an alternative.

Reading your response I cant help feel a sense of irony at that last bit and the fact that your only supporter is the self confessed professional bore Smug tells me a lot more too.

Thing is though, we've had **** for years, so why so wound up so quickly? Clearly it's some kind of inferiority complex and they need to bully their football team.

I can't stand post match negativity. It's when I show my teeth. I don't mind the negative points being discussed but I want balance and solution damn it. But most of all I want us all to remain resolute in our cause as supporters of this club.

You just believe that I'm boring etc because I don't fall for your tiresome drivel and arrogant ****e.

if we had a balanced fixture list i would imagine people, like me, would be feeling less anxious! i predicted as soon as the fixtures came out that it would cause us problems, especially if we didnt get 3 points in our opening three games! i think our confidence will be shot and im worried that di canios man management skills could potentially be holding us back! just raising me concerns! dont want him sacked or anything! i think hes building a decent squad but ive been a bit bemused by some of his decisions! give him time though! if not for this 'revolution' we'd be going down anyway!
