dont wish to start an assie type argument ash but as soon as i logged in i sifted through a few pages and found the offending post, deleted it, warned aber and as far as i'm concerned thats the end of the matter.....i suppose i should have informed everyone of the action i took as in the absence of knowledge people like aussie decide to **** stirr and claim that i condone such messages....! but apologies for not being online in the immediate aftermath of the comments.....

At the end of the day, who cares who's a better moderator.....I do my best to please jacks, swamp does his best to please the bluebirds. We both try our best, and we both have tough times/decisions.

Jackash, surely it is not about pleasing folk. Isn't it about being open and fair when asked to intervene, taking a balanced view before taking any action? Of course you will upset folk as well as please others. By the nature of the role it is censorship. Every one knows it's a difficult role to have so hats off to all mods for their sterling work.
As an ex moderator and long time contributor to these forums i would like to add that both Jackash and Swamp do an excellent job on their respective boards and from what i have observed do their best to be fair with the respective members of their individual forums in what sometimes can be a thankless task, they are never going to please everyone , personally i think they are both doing an excellent job in moderating their respective forums and i think we should be thankful that they are prepared to give of their time on these forums.
ITI, I know that, lol. Taff, your right. It is about keeping the board under control etc, but i think a happy board is a controlled board. I'm not worried about upsetting people, but i do like to keep people happy, its in my nature lol. I see jh has added his usual, erm, shait.
