Martins and Zigic = on paper looks like a fearsome partnership if they manage to click.

IMO as long as we can manage to stop Bentley and Seb from producing quality service(with Enrique and Simpson I'm confident we can) to Zigic we'll be OK. Watch out for Ferguson's passing and Gardner's long shots!

they've only lost twice at home all season. a hard slog awaits us and i think it'll be yet another draw.

 

I'm going to stick my neck out and say 2-0 Newcastle, if we manage to get an early goal. Scorers I'll say Nolan and Williamson

We've looked good in the last game and a half and can create chances as shown vs Blackburn but need to finish them.

I think that tonight is the night when Ranger finally gets on the score sheet and I'll jizz in my pants.

Martins wont have settled yet, and wont understand their game (like Torres at Chelsea), and Zigic is hopefully just in good form, cant see him getting 4 in 4.

Good question. I'm not sure. He was never really consistent enough. But then again neither is Shola

Probably, I did like him when he played for us and if what he's claiming in the papers is true then fair enough.

Think he (or another striker in the same mould) could be great with Ranger's hold up play next season if Ranger manages to nail down a starting spot by then.

 

I'm confident we could win this. Our defence and midfield has been top notch lately. Just need to find a way to get some goals in.

Let's just hope our key players are having a good day. That will be key to the outcome.

I wouldn't have Martins back to be honest.

Sure he scored some cracking goals but as a squad and club we've moved on. No longer are we the sanctuary of players looking for a big pay cheque. Instead we've got a bunch of players who generally seem hungry to play and play with pride.

True about the wages OT but I cant imagine Birmingham and/or Rubin Kazan giving him the rumoured 80k a week he got here.

I liked him when he was here but being realistic he wasnt very consistent at all and I dont think it would help the team spirit much to bring back a player who left post relegation.

ON HIS DAY he was absolutely brilliant! but as you said Smud, he just wasn't consistent enough, but I'll love to have him back.. just for ONE last crack!
