EVERY DAY WE SEE OUR CLOSE RIVALS SNAPPING UP PLAYERS that are likely to be their saviours, BBurn 5 .. Rtherhm 5 ... PNE 4( incl Bennett ) ...

But hang on .. we've signed 3, OK O'Donnell was a must .. also on 3 are Charltn, and Hudds, with MKD on 2 along with QPR
Leeds have signed a load but they are relatively safe mow whilst Fulham and Bolton cant!

SO it is grim but not stand out alone grim ... 3 more signings would paint a better picture but what is left in the pond to catch!

We've now signed 6 and had three bids rejected for targets.

Yes but were the targets reasonable, or even in our range, given our well documented financial restrictions. It almost seems to me the FFP dominate too many of our decisions and restrict us from moving forward so what's the point of getting promoted in the first place when you have to compete with the clubs getting parachute payments? Seems a very unfair playing field to me and under those constant clouds how is anybody, including Steve Lansdown, going to move us onwards and upwards?

Keep the faith I suppose and hope it all comes out in the wash.

Well Thursday was OK but a bit of an anti climax ... secured Golbourne, wonder what was the cost !
Don't think we should persevere with Matt Smith, instead concentrate on Gilbey and Dack .. should at some time they become super stars we can then benefit or cash in!
do we need another centre forward? Agard is dragging his heels a goal every 3.6 games Kodija 1 every 2.78 Wilbs 1 in 2.63 since they have been here... so this season they need to get back on track as other than kodge they are lacking, but is that because of poor service !

    Golbourne cost 300k
Why concentrate on midfield when we've just got two surely with Burns, Pack, Smith, Freeman Wagstaff and Reid we've enough cover there with Tomlin and Gladwin joining. Getting Dack (who we are basing his ability to step up a division on two games at Bristol) and Unknown Gilbey when neither was better than Freeman last season. We need cover and I only mean cover for Smith as without him we could be ****ed.
But you said we shouldn't persevere with Smith yet you mention we need another forward?

who have we left at the end of the season ... when the loans go back .... we cannot guarantee we will secure their services for the next season either loan or perm.
With Dack and Gilbey they will be ours SO we start with that department signed off.
as for a forward, yep we will need one but not till Wilbs hangs his boots, likely in 4 months time? if not offered another contract.. 37 -y-o?

Hang on a sec, you are saying we need midfielders for when the loans go back but not strikers because we have Wilbs, but then you say he is likely to go in 4 months, which is the same time as the midfield loans go back!

YES what it means is we only have 1 key position to fill!
Tomlin is quite capable of playing up front .. scored 1 in 3 for POSH
