we have a chance to make a statement..we screw it up.

    every bloody time.

Go Harry...he hasnt got the know how to do tactics.

im sick of being told its my job to support the team...this crap works both ways...we deserve pride and fight from the team too

Benny and the love in with his coolness...well that cost us today fellas! he was done lots of times ball watching.

love King but hes done...very stiff.

infact i cant be arsed with running down on the team and what happend..all i know is Harry cant take us to the next step..im sick of saying it.

its depressing mate! but whats to be said? this is spurs, we all know it, we have been this way for as long as I can remember and no doubt you feel the same.

Its hard to say what is wrong at times, as if you put all our players in a man utd shirt, they would most likely get some balls, at times it feels like this is what spurs are, nice to watch, promise so much but deliver so little.

Arry needs to be honest with himself and the players, none of this rubbish "i never think about the England job" as we know fine well he does.

King is past it now, he has to retire.

  3. DM - I feel your pain mate, but your anger needs to be better directed.
I do agree that Harry needs to account for the last few months of decline and his decision to play Leds after the last couple of games was baffling.
However, none of the back 4 were strong enough today and particularly Walker who got caught out twice in the first half.
Unfortunately, other key players failed to influence today's game: notably Modric and VDV.
Bale had the beating of Basingwa all day long yet failed to stay out on his wing. Why?
Parker worked hard as always but Ade was too often isolated.
Cudicini was at fault for Lampards goal but otherwise did nothing wrong. And as he has played throughout the FAC run there was no reason to drop him.

Bottom line is that when the pressure came on in the big game, we were not quite up for it.
And for that the answer sits firmly at a management level.

Apart from the fake goal which ****ed the game, one or two criticisms of Harry.

Taking off VDV was a big mistake IMHO and I said so at the time. He was playing a major part in our game and without his contribution we were aimless.

The last 10/15 minutes Spurs gave up and that is not acceptable from pros. even if you are 3 down. They should have played to the end, goals only take seconds to score. Again I blame Harry it is his team and his ethic that runs it.

Most of all of course the game was ruined by an horrendous decision from the ref. AGAIN!

  5. Roy Keane said that we lack the mental strength to win, and that it's become part of the culture of the club.

    Let's face it, he's right.

Agreed, the strength displayed by Norwich at WHL when against all the odds they won. THAT is what Spurs need they have the rest ball skills, pace etc but without the bottle for a fight you have nothing.

I agree. But the fact that the fans showed a mass exodus didn't help one bit. I couldn't believe how many Spurs fans left early today, hardly inspiring for the team.

Its not just the centre backs, BAE wasn't great. Bale didn#t play to his strengths, and in the first half when we got space in the box, apart from the vdv shot cleared of the line, we made the wrong pass as we struggle to create clear cut chances/

Its all well and good having talented players and a good formation on paper but when it comes down to the real stuff, we just lack that belief to go out and win games and create chances.

Our full-backs look tired, which is probably something to do with not having any real cover for them.
Bale went missing for big chunks of the game too, with Lennon somehow working both wings effectively, while the Welshman went walkabout.
He started well and had Bosingwa struggling badly, so why not just keep going at him?

I can never understand why fans who shell out shedloads of money to watch a game leave before the end, in this case 10 minutes before the end. Are they all rich? What do they do with this time they save in the traffic?

Having said that Pros. should STILL play to the end unless the bloody stadium falls down.

Bale went missing as he doesn't play to his strengths, like in the first half when he flew past two chelsea players and just missed out on getting a cross in, that is the Bale that causes havoc and won him player of the season.

he needs to get back to basics, much like the team needs to.

  13. Exactly!!!
I do have this horrible feeling that Bale is starting to believe his own publicity, which would be a pity cos he is an exceptional talent and (I think) a decent lad.

The lack of cover at FB has been notable - with the only cover for Benny having been Rose who has hardly mpressed there. The cover has Walker has been........ Er - no-one!! Not great planning, hence my suggestion that ultimately the questions need to be answered by management more than players.

True that pros should carry on no matter what. But also fans should help support their team till the end. I understand that emotions were run high due to the ref etc but if that was me I would definitely stay till the bitter end, especially if it was a (expensive) trip out to Wembley. Very strange to see, usually a handful of fans would of left in that situation but it looked like the vast majority were streaming out out the stadium.

Anyway chin up lads you're still in a good position to finish 4th, and that would be a good way to end the season <ok>

It wasn't a mass exodus. They were waiting for Martin Atkinson in the car park...

I'm beginning to think Mark Hughes or Moyes could be the answer to our problem. Hughes trains his players like he trained himself; to a standstill. We have talent. We always buy players with talent, but the culture at the club means that they are never as fit as the best of our opposition and they lack the character to overcome setbacks. Look up "fair weather team" in the dictionary, there is a team pic of Spurs.

Also we are clueless tactically, as a club and individually. Ledley seems to be the only one with a"football brain," but his days are over. We have to face it. As for mental strength, well it could only go two ways today (really a microcosm of our season) 1. righteous indignation spurs us on to a result, 2. We fold. Spectacularly.

History and today, tells me that option 2 is the one most Spurs players will go for. What we need is a manager who can make most of them go for the first option. Harry, I'm afraid, ain't it.

Hughes proved at Man City he couldn't cut it at the top table - he can keep a team like Blackburn (and possibly QPR) up, and he can take Man City into the Europa League, but (for lack of a better term) he runs out of talent beyond that level. You can say the same about Martin O'Neill, whilst I'm on the subject.

Moyes is a better shout, given what he can rouse out of Everton with no money and no squad depth, as he's capable of getting a team that can battle but also play good stuff. I'd suggest that, in a couple of seasons, Paul Lambert might be at that level as well.

I'd say we had more players with footballing brains, Modric, Parker and VDV do, as does Adebayor, but if they don't get the service they can't use their brains, sort of like how it's impossible to do the sudoku on the commute because you're stuck next to some dubstep moron whose headphones must be on inside out because you must be hearing more of their ****ty taste in music than they are.
