Mkhitaryan to miss the start of the season

Henrikh Mkhitaryan against Lucerne can be celebrated as a scorer, but later he bent to place the injured and needs. An MRI scan is a ankle injury. Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski seems to have resigned himself to his fate at BVB this season.

4:1 Borussia Dortmund won the test match against FC Lucerne and the goalscorers said: Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Following his goal, however, the Armenians had to be replaced because of an ankle injury.

"He's bent over and now has a bandaged ankle," said coach Juergen Klopp after the game: "Now we have to wait and see." Now it is clear that Mkhitaryan will probably miss the start of the season. An MRI scan revealed a partial tear of the anterior Syndesmosebandes on his right ankle. Based on initial estimates of 27.5 million euros expensive midfielder will turn four weeks.

Mkhitaryan had on Tuesday night against Lucerne for the 3-1 lead provided (38 minutes). Already against FC Basel during his BVB debut he had met once. The 1-0 had scored Marvin Ducksch (9). Increased to 2-0 scorer Robert Lewandowski (28) for the German vice-champion. The only goal scored for the Swiss Dario Lezcano (38) just before the break. After the restart, increased Marco Reus (55) to 4-1.

Lewandowski seems now to have come to terms with his fate at BVB this season. "I must accept that I am in need remain Dortmund, "said the Polish national team in training camp in Bad Ragaz / Switzerland

For months there had been buzz about a possible change Lewandowski, who still has a contract at Dortmund until 2014, the Triple-winners Bayern Munich. Lewandowski and his management pushed for a release, but pushed the BVB a stop to. Next year, the 24-year-old could then go free.

In the first test games Lewandowski, who has showed a good training week is back again his goalscoring qualities. In the 4-1 victories against the Turkish first division side Bursaspor Kulübü last Saturday against FC Lucerne and on Tuesday the striker scored once each.

  3. Agree with this, never like to see a player get injured and I don't blame Henry Ryan for the decision he made <ok>
