    Oh my giddy aunt.

Heat maps galore. Graphs and tactical images playing mind games with ones brain thinking wtf.

I did just read the link. The very long link and now feel like my morning cuppa has been spiked with lsd.

Folks who enjoy the FULL tactical breakdown of a 6-2 drubbing will very much enjoy reading that article,
as it is full of information.

So dont get me wrong. Its a worthwhile piece, if you like that kind of thing. So thanks.

Hopefully these hallucinations from all those heat maps wears of soon.

I'll pass on analysis as for me the simple thing was that we lost possession in the Everton half, one clearance/pass out of danger helped forward into acres of space behind our last line for faster Everton attackers to zoom in.

The classiest move in the game was the wrong foot chip into the goalmouth by Lukaku for the header but that should have been attacked by Pants as it had little speed on it.

Read the article man. Its like getting a prescription from your doctor.

Instead of getting anadin you get a bottle containing lsd tabs.

Total mind ****. I never want to see a heat graph ever again.

It was like watching an episode of monkey having drank a bottle of cherry brandy.

    @hefty

Hope you dont think im taking the piss. But that article was deep. Very deep. Especially for folks just waking up.

Im more interested in your view of SAFC as a whole and your view on them as a fairly new follower.

You were probably drawn to the club by Altidore or Yedin.

So what is it like for you, now you have attached yourself to a club like SAFC?

You had the choice of some of the biggest clubs in the world, yet here you are.

    Do you regret your choice?

Will you still follow once Yedin departs?

AreSAFC getting many new fans in your part of the world?

    How is it on matchdays?

Your view and hopes on the future of SAFC.

    Welcome to question time.

    Your host......Comm the nosey twat.

So what is it like for you, now you have attached yourself to a club like SAFC?

I'm really enjoying the ride. Plenty to take in with the managerial change and the derby. I am as curious as you all are to see which line up and formation BSA ultimately settles upon. I am fully engaged in the struggle to ward off relegation.

You had the choice of some of the biggest clubs in the world, yet here you are.

I have been an international fan since Mia Hamm and the USWNT won the world cup. I have only been following club football for 4 years now. Dempsey was at Spurs, so I followed them. Bale, Defoe, Lennon, Walker, Rose - what a pacey, attacking team. I got hooked on that type of soccer. When Dempsey went to Seattle the following year, I followed Seattle as well. That was Yedlin's rookie year. Now he is the tip of the sword, leading the way for future American's in world football. How his career develops, that is what interests me the most.

    Do you regret your choice?

No, not at all. It was a stroke of luck actually. Most of the discussion is about the defence, so I am learning a lot, and am able to share that with my 11 yr. old defender. And the first half last week was an absolute blast.

Will you still follow once Yedin departs?

To be honest, I'm hoping that a successful loan spell leads to a permanent transfer. Tottenham is a bad place to play. They frequently shuffle the squad, and there are many options ahead of Deandre, and some young ones waiting in the wings. I hope BSA was just sending a message when he pulled Yedlin after not tracking back and marking Arouna Kone' on the fifth goal. I hope he didn't get himself fired.

Are SAFC getting many new fans in your part of the world?

I'm not sure. I believe the premier league has the highest television ratings, of any league, including the MLS, here in the states. I think it's more about the overall quality of competition in the premier league, than any specific team. As time goes on, I imagine viewers will naturally choose a favorite, it's more fun that way.

    How is it on matchdays?

There are clubs and pubs, but for me, I see a lot of games early in the morning or on replay.

Your view and hopes on the future of SAFC.

I'm thinking and hoping that you stay up. Bournemouth will surely go down. If you survive, I think you are headed to mid table safety.

If you're going to bite the bullet and chain yourself to the rollercoaster that is SAFC then you need to start seeing 'we' instead of 'you'! You're one of us now mate! <ok>

He's a Yedlin fan, not a club fan. His signature gives everything away, he's loaned himself to you lot in support of his countryman.

Stop trying to drag him into your pit of everlasting misery and gloom.

What the hell's wrong with sharing out the pain and misery that we go through every season? If he thinks he's big enough to suffer with the rest of us who are we to stand in his way?

He only came on to dip his toe in the Sunderland lake and you've dragged him in to your swampy mangrove <laugh>

I read the bit that said "Everton will win more games if they play like that" - My thought is only if they play us every week! We made it very easy for them after the second goal - and, had we not been so profligate (twice hitting the post and other times not getting good purchase on the ball or hitting the defender) then it could've been very different! Everton were poor for the first 15 when we could easily have been 2-0 up on another day then they scored and we retreated into our shell - then for the 5 or 6 minute spell around half time we were better than them, scoring twice and looking the better side - we then, inexplicable, left our "oil tanker acceleration" of a defence 50 yards from goal and allowed simple passes in behind to end the game effectively. Not saying Everton were rubbish but they certainly wouldn't win many games playing exactly like that - they'd probably lose more as opposition would learn how to deal with the constantly simple pass in behind by defending deeper!

We slapped them daft at Goodison mate, we don't usually score more than 0/1 goals per game nowadays either. They were there for the taking, you just capitulated after the 3rd, all that hard work getting back to 2-2 and it just hit your team like a train.

Spot on mate - but we still created a good half dozen chances after their third goal - they looked really good running forward and passing the ball into space behind the defence - but our defence had 50 yards behind it and are not very quick lets be honest!! They'd lose more than they'll win playing like that. The only goal, after their second, that was really well crafted was Kone's hattrick goal - and that shouldve been cleaned out by our keeper who, at the moment, couldn;t impose himself on my 11 year old's team! If we had kept it tight at the back at 2-2 up until 80 minutes then gone for it a bit more then I think we'd have won it - sad reality is that 2-2 would've been a great result but the players got greedy!
