Tough away game this. Silva has finally got Everton playing some good football and they come into this game on the back of two wins having beaten Chelsea and West Ham. That said, they are really inconsistent and look just as likely to lose any game they go into.

Hoping we've got Ramsey available as he took a knock against Toon. Crazy how he's become one of our most important players since the decision was made not to offer him a contract.

Partly down to the formation but when you think about Ramsey is one of the players most suited to Emery's style. He's quite tenacious for a 'creative' player. Makes you wonder who Emery is going to sign to replace him in midfield. Also with Xhaka playing well - I cant help but wonder if Torreira is going to get fed up on the bench.

Carzorla is absolutely smashing it up in La Liga and actually (amazingly) looks back to his best. Shame we didnt keep hold of him.

Still talk of us going in for Ever Bangea who played with Emery at Sevilla, and although he's 30 now. He'd still be a good signing.

Love us to try and get Isco, but I think we'd be priced out.

No one is a good signing at 30.

With the player market today, 30 year-olds are a very poor investment. They get injured more and you also can't sell them on to recoup their fee.

Also they are only going to go down in value and ability. You will never get a bargain. Everyone knows what they can do, and what they can't do. In the strictest way, there ARE no good signings, in that there are no 30 year-olds that are going to perform above expectations. There are no real bad 30 year old signings either in that sense, in that most 30 year-olds perform as expected.

A team like Arsenal who don't have the most money, will never be successful signing 30 year olds, because you will never get a signing that is on their way up. If a 30year old is expected to still make an impact, then a club with more money will want him, and he will be over-priced.

This is what winds me up with this coach! He keeps tinkering, you don't do that against a resurgent Everton team, he leaves Iwobi, Ramsey and Auby on the bench and starts with Elneny. That for me is a lack of respect and above all thinks he is cleverer than himself. This to me is why he would never be a top class manager! Start with your best 11 muppet!

Shocking first half don't look up for it at all, having such a weak midfield hasn't helped either.Time for Emery to earn his money and get this mess sorted. Everton have battled and scrapped better than us,its not like they have played us off the park with breath taking football.

Xhaka was injured, Koscielny was injured, Torreira still has a suspension and Ramsey is carrying a knock from the previous game.

Easy to say what you're saying with hindsight, but really, what did you expect him from him when his options are this limited?

The only thing he maybe should have done was play Aubameyang with Lacazette, but even then, we would still have the same problems. We are getting dispossessed too easily and losing every 50-50/second ball. There is no build-up play through the middle. Guendouzi and Elneny are too lightweight and not positionally disciplined.

I guess to retrieve the situation, he brings on Auby and Ramsey. He leaves Suarez on the bench as well! I will repeat what I said before, he is Wenger light 2.0! We will never win anything with this guy.

Gutless, spineless and clueless and that goes for Emery as well. Watford and Napoli must be rubbing their hands watching that sh==e.

This was a huge game, to prove our doubters wrong, and get this 'away form' monkey off our backs, yet we put in one of the most weak, dispirited and disjointed performances of the season?

I get we've had injuries, but show some desire, put yourself about, do something to show that this is a huge game you want to win.

    Nope. Nothing.

Everton are more than worthy winners.

Yet again, when we are expected to deliver, we disappoint.

    Useless.

    Hmmm...

Everton played very well, I actually had no idea they were that good (or were we really poor...?)

We were poor going forward, just not enough created at all.

Defensively so-so; though we were essentially gambling in the second half and probably could have shipped 1-2 more goals.

There was a lack of urgency and desire for sure though. Need a much better attitude and approach for watford.

Was it Jekyll or Hyde that turned up today, fans deserve an apology for going to that. When it comes to away games once again we are left asking the question which Arsenal is going to turn up.

Arsenal are one of only two teams in the top four tiers of English league football this season without an away clean sheet this season, along with Championship side Ipswich Town.
