It does not seem long ago that we were beating Everton quite comfortably.

If Sunderland don't get relegated this season it'll be criminal.

Bournemouth also looking out of their depth now.

The Mackems board is mildly amusing at the mo.

    Finished 6-2.

HT - Saints 2-0 Bournemouth. Impecable minutes silence for Remembrance Day ahead of kick off.

The Mackems have had their standard capitulation after winning the derby.

Bournemouth always did look out of their depth. Well out.

I still can't believe the premier league let us go down and allowed them up.

Bournemouth were excellent in the second half yesterday, they let in a couple of sloppy goals in the first, but they weren't outplayed at all.

Apart from that seagull towards the end.

    No respect these days.

For once I feel Big Sam's record of never having been relegated from the Premier League is seriously under threat. They've been woeful for the last 3 seasons; amazing how a club with their supporter base continues to get it wrong season after season.

Maybe they should appoint a manager and give them 3-4 years to re-build. If during that period they're relegated then so be it. Short term pain for long term gain.

Which is why it would be good for the game if us & Burnley returned to the PL next season.

Totally agree; plus us and Burnley returning to the PL sounds good to me!

You can only go so many seasons surviving by the skin of your teeth before you fall.

I think this season is said fall.

He hasn't been able to do anything about the squad yet, no doubt he had some sort of commitment to spending in January or he wouldn't have taken the job, he'll sort it out, he always does.

Unless Elliott Short changes his ways, Big Sam's got no chance this time round! At face value Sunderland is no quick fix!

He'll get cash in January, whether it's enough to turn things around remains to be seen, but if anyone is likely to sort it, it's Allardyce.

Don't disagree with any of that, but for once feel Sam has bitten off more than he can chew. They are in a mess! See he's linked with Dame N'Doye in today's red tops!
