I have just looked at the seating plan online and there are still lots of empty seats around the ground. In my opinion this game SHOULD be a sell out as it is the biggest game in our recent history.....
People need to get there arses to the ground and support their team!!!!! I know it's on the telly but I'm going and the reason for me going is to shout and cheer and try and spur the lads to victory, to be the 12th man Perhaps I'm overstating my part but when will the people realise that sitting in a pub is NOT supporting the team and by not going this will take it's roll on the club. Some seem to think it's a one way street but it works both ways!
Totally agree. There are many season card holders that have not even bothered booking their seat for the game and it now stands at about 40,000, INCLUDING the 6,200 everton supporters, that means around 33/34k have bothered their arses. BUT can we sell another 8,000 tickets before tuesday. we will see. It will help that we are at home against QPR and people may buy tickets for the Everton game that day.
I'll be very disappointed if this isn't sold out. TV or not, it's £20! You'd spend more than that going to the pub anyway. The lads need your support! Anyone who doesn't have a ST and doesn't go to this game shouldn't get any sort of priority for any potential semi final tickets IMO
Unfortunately I bet we have a good 50,000 people that claim to support the club but do it by sppitibg off infant of a telly in the pub. I know it goes back to the 'Quinn philosophy' but if your not putting money into the club you not supporting it.
Well I will be there for thew first time since 2003, Ive lived abroad for most of the interim period, my brother has a SC and managed to get me a ticket, so its an early start from Cumbria, see some family then off to the match, cant wait Howay the lads.
Off to the game as well thought about watching it in the bar but, ticket cost a tenner (our boy is a season ticket holder) so thought **** it might as well go. One down side is I'll be stone cold sober as not finishing work till half six never mind it should be interesting.
i cant go ffs lads please remeber it is a tuesday night so alot of people not near sunderland cant get there
Not a problem from me connor mate I know the score for most lads, plus I don't get to many home games on a weekend due to work that should all change soon though with a bit of luck.
I am a season card holder and booked my seat this morning, and i was in a que!, SO SHOULD BE 45,000 i hope, and don't think it is on the telly. And we can beat Liverpool, and Spurs or Chelsea are not brilliant this season. And the f a cup final is on 14th May, the day SAFC won in 1973!, is that an omen.
Monty. Spot the deliberate mistakes, the match is live on ITV and we won the cup on 5th May, 1973, I know cos I was there.
Hang on lads but if 38,000 safc fans buy tickets, and 6,000 bin dippers come up, then its a good turn out imo from both fans for a game on the tv on a Tuesday night. A crowd of 44,000 plus will be a substantial crowd for this this competition these days, on a mid week game. Its easy to criticise but there is a major recession on in the UK and we have a home game tomorrow, an important replay Tuesday, then we will have to fork out for semi final tickets if we make it. All this after we have just travelled to Everton in the 1st game, then to Blackburn 72 hours later and then to Man City next week? I can only begin to imagine the costs some fans will endure over a short 2 weeks period. I'd estimate for some fans they will have spent £350 without the prospect of buying semi final tickets and transport. That will mean forking out probably another £200 next week after Man City. The world is not awash with cash people. I'll be happy with a 44,000/45,000 crowd in all honesty.
lets be honest the size of a crowd doesnt really matter the arsenal game had an amaing atmosphere with songs being started in all areas of the stadium and it was a really small crowd
