We'll be in for some competition this year, but don't fret, they always raise their game for these big events, regardless of what part of the season it is.

Nevertheless, awesome performance, Fellani battered them.

Did you tug one out over Fellaini?

Their performance reminded me of our 3-0 spanking of United last season (only not as good of course). Got up in Uniteds grill and didn't let them play their usual game.

Fellaini was immense, made Vidic look useless. Battered him all game. In surprised they've held on to him for so long, he looks quality.

Unconfirmed rumours circulating that van Persie has handed in a transfer request. He "doesn't agree with the direction Man Utd are going."

Very early days I know and no doubt things will completely change, but for now, it's amusing that Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U and Sunderland are all in the bottom half.

Cheers for making me feel awesome about my predicted league table with this thread Tash <whistle>

Fellaini proved he can play football when he's not being a total fouling git. Man Utd would do well signing him... Got that Sir Alex, Fellaini, not Tiote... Fellaini... NOT TIOTE.

What impressed me most over and above him, was the defence, awesome performance from Jags and Hibbert.

Got that Sir Alex, Fellaini, not Tiote... Fellaini... NOT TIOTE ...FELLAINI, FELLAINI, FELLAINI

Worrying thing is when they get off to a good start, they have a very good season. They have real quality throughout but I think depth will be their achillies heel again.
