Reported Everton target Bobby Reid ensuring Bristol City aren't missing. Bristol City would have wondered how they could cope without Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham - step forward Everton-linked star Bobby Reid. please log in to view this image You’d have got long odds on Bristol City being the most prolific side in the Championship after eight games played in 2017/18 – particularly after they lost on-loan talisman Tammy Abraham upon the end of last season. Yet, local lad Bobby Reid has stepped up to the plate to ensure the Chelsea wonderkid has not been missed at Ashton Gate. The 24-year-old had only ever scored seven league goals for City before this season but, after just eight games of the new campaign, has six to his name already. His penalty in Saturday’s 4-1 thrashing of Derby County came just four days after a Man of the Match performance, capped by a typically opportunist close-range finish, in a 3-3 draw with Wolves at Molineux. please log in to view this image It’s no wonder, then, that Reid’s talent is drawing admirers from far and wide. The Liverpool Echo reported in late August that both Everton and Leicester City have been tracking his development. Tammy who? And, based on current form, Everton must keep tabs on the goal-poaching youngster, who has thrived in a central striking role this season after spending much of his career in midfield. Toffees drew a blank for the fourth game in a row in all competitions as they were thumped 4-0 at Manchester United on Sunday, meaning their last league goal came against City almost a month ago. However, with Reid developing a knack for being in the right place at the right time, the 5ft 7ins forward has the ability and the vision to score goals at any level. And the fact that the loss of Abraham, whose 23 goals in 41 games largely kept Bristol City in the second tier last season, is not being missed at Ashton Gate is credit to his remarkable improvements. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/09/18/reported-everton-target-bobby-reid-ensuring-bristol-city-arent-m/
How long have we had to wait, always flattered to deceive. We are not two months into the season yet, however people are talking him up for the prem, long way to go before that is achievable, walk before you run i say.
If my memory is correct Everton was supposed to be after Joe Bryan as well, same old tosh if you ask me..
With todays scouting networks, the top clubs will be following the status of almost every player in the football league, and would then closely scrutinise for many weeks or months if they even consider to making a bid - it's probably only a fraction of a % of players tracked that actually make a move. That's the media for you though - the writers of gossip columns must simply make up the majority of their stories (or use the flimsiest leads). Still, if any of our players are linked to Premiership teams by these fiction writers, it must be because they're playing well, so no real concern to me.
Have you noticed just how bare the general media "commentaries" now there is no transfer or limited Loan activity for 4 month's ... first thing most did was take a 2 week holiday 1/9/2017 till 15/9/2017 .. and now they are back and twiddling thumbs
If both Bryan and Reid keep up their start of season form then this will be the last time we see them in our shirts..
wiz just noticed you have the last word of the title wrong, it should be a capital H not a capital R .....
