So we have the cup specialists from the school of science between us and a wembley final. According to Talk Sport the whole nation wants to see Moyes and his boys win a trophy. Jeez, probably half of the football supporters in Wigan borough probably follow Everton so we can say that even our own home town will be against us... and that's probably just the way we like it! So the standard message to Bobby - please, something like a full strength side - and in spite of his wins in the cups this season, let's not forget that Everton are a PROPER FOOTBALL CLUB and as such there should be no place for Gomez in our starting eleven! Rumour has it that we have an allocation of four thousand - lets hope we sell the lot, and benefit from complacency on the part of our opponents. Would be nice to do both sides of the Merseyside family in the space of seven days!
looking forward to it mate, hope Fellaini plays as I think you struggle with physicality more than most. We struggle against strikers like Kone though sadly. ALS, don't you mean Wembley semi final not final?
**** yeah, freudian slip there. I'm suffering from typical springtime in Wigan over-optimism. I meant to writ semi- of course. Fellaini is tough for a lot of clubs to deal with I think, but you're right we've struggled with him earlier this season at your place. I think though we had most of our central defenders on long spells of injury, and now we're closer to having a full complement. Ramis - who was a revelation for us once he got up to the levels of speed required for the PL - won't be back till next season, but bringing in Scharner, and Alcaraz's return alongside Caldwell might mean that we're a bit better equipped. It's your midfield in general that I worry about. It has to be one of the best in the PL surely. Just got me tickets I'm in me forties, but have to confess I was feeling like a kid looking at them. Wigan, in the quarter finals of the cup, against Everton. Sun is shining and everything is right with the world. Can't wait.
Sorry HP but were ****ed i would have been more happy with Oldham. Everton have unfinished business in the cup and with Bainsie in no mood to change that its a 2-1 from me sorry mate but for me premier survival is what counts
I expect us to be ****ed too matey. But in the earlier rounds of the League Cup, against Forest and West Ham we put out a mix of first and second stringers and produced really good performances. So who knows? It was against Bournemouth and Bradford, where he played an almost comppletely different eleven, that we looked godawful. Gomez will play. That's the biggest thing that will **** us up. Outside the cups, the only game in whcih he has started which we've won has been home to Reading. So many points wasted just trying to accomodate him. If we go down, that's a big factor. I'll settle for something llike this - Remy Alcaraz Scharner Caldwell Stam Espinoza McArthur Beausejour Kone Gomez McManaman
See the way that FRiday comes and I get optimistic that he'll play both Kone and di Santo? And I missed out Figueroa, the ever present. He'll play him fo sure. And drop Beausejour and play McManaman
I would like to see Wigan win the F A Cup, and at the moment you could! 3-0 up ! sick of seeing Chelsea winning it. Wigan vs Blackburn final now that would be interesting. If you get to the final and play either Man u or Man c i think you will get a europa league place., and you should stay up.
