Demba Ba is on the verge of completing a move to Everton, according to Givemefootball. The Toffees were yesterday reported to have cooled their interest in the West Ham striker over his wage demands. That catapulted Newcastle to the front of the queue to sign the Sengalese international. But Everton seem to be in pole position to capture him once again, according to a West Ham executive. The source said: "He was offered £50,000 a-week wages and a half a million pound signing on fee. But he decided to walk away. We think he may now sign for Everton." Ba was signed from German outfit Hoffenheim during the January transfer window. He bagged seven goals for the struggling Hammers but ultimately couldn't prevent them being relegated from the Premier League. The Toffees are also interested in signing Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd.
I thought he had ended his contract with WHU? If so... How does a West Ham exec know a thing? Hope he comes to Toon!
