https//www.clubcall.com/swansea city/ everton-eye-bony-1732778.html lm now sure bonys agent was misquoted when he said his client would only sign for a top 6 side, maybe he meant he was going to sign for ALL top 6 sides lol
Bony will leave this summer I have no doubt about that but not to Everton. £20 million plus will blow Evertons transfer fund away. So I'm confident that won't happen.
Same city different club will persuade bony with champions league this season, Everton have no chance...
Liverpool will be back to their usual standard again this season though, probably finish 5th or something. WIthout Ratboy and Champions League to contend with it will be a bit much for them. It will be a shame if Bony goes there.....
It's almost certain now that bony wont wear the swans shirt next season but we all know that anyway but was hoping it will go away....Bony is expected to meet Brendan soon to talk terms and a deal will be done soon. ....Now me i have accepted that bony played his last game for us at the end of last season so i really don't care about bony as it was always going to happen. The player i want us to persuade to stay is Ben, He is the one we should work on trying to keep and that is going to be hard but not impossible like Bony. we will have trouble finding another LB that can play our style and we are left with just Taylor to do the job and if he should get injured then we could find ourselves in a spot of bother. So we must try our hardest to try and keep this lad for at least one more season....
Liverpool slammed by Huw Jenkins for moving for Wilfried Bony without permission as Reds look to trigger £19m release clause Liverpool and the striker have met for talks over a move to Anfield Swansea's chairman upset as Liverpool have not made official approach Bony wants to leave Swansea and is keen to move to Merseyside
Not sure where that's come from but they all look like newspaper reports. IF (big if) it's true that Jenkins has 'slammed' Liverpool I wonder why? IF (big if) the release clause is indeed £19M then Liverpool or anyone else is entitled to put a bid in to trigger it. 'Slamming' anyone is unjustified and makes us look foolish IF (big if) it did indeed happen.
I wonder if this flagrant disregard of the rules makes the release clause null and void. Anyone? If he wants to go and they want him, fine, should be a financial penalty for the way they've gone about it though. Jenkins should do what they did with Suarez (ignore the release clause) and refuse unless they pay £30m +
HJ should be having a go. He is still our player and have no right to discuss anything with him without our permission. We would be more foolish by allowing this to happen. Surely Liverpool if that piece is correct have breached some sort of tapping up rules.
I hope it is terr but somehow it's inevitable that should bony be keen to join then they will find a way. I hate all this cloak and dagger stuff and clubs should be punished heavily if found to be doing it. It's bony's representatives that bony has asked to speak to liverpool on his behalf so whether that is a loop hole there that clubs and players use i dont know but if it is then the loop hole needs to be closed and forced to go through the proper channels. Its the principal of it as if bony is happy to join liverpool then all they have to pay is the £19m trigger fee and it wont matter if any other club offers a lot more the club cant stop bony joining liverpool...
Dai, Surely the only person who can give Liverpool to discuss anything over a move for bony is HJ. Any approach outside of the giving that permision is a breach of rules.
That is the proper way of doing it but not just Liverpool but all clubs break the rules....You dont meet in roadside greasy spoons or pub car parks to talk to a player or his representatives if it was legal would you....They all do it including jinx and it must be stopped...
I agree but if it can be proved they have spoken to either Bony or his rep then we should start shouting and complaining to the Fa.
What I think will happen is that he will remain a Swansea player, at least until January, when all will come in for him. His game is totally reliant on his fitness and, as he is still on holidays, this season he is likely to miss more of pre-season than he did last year. He must have at least two/three weeks holiday left which more or less takes him out of the running as a season starter, bench at best due to lack of fitness and preparation. I think those clubs with £20m to splash out will want a V8 Bony raring to go and they wont want to waste time, goals or money, on a player who wont be game sharp until November, maybe even Christmas if he gets a niggle. They'll let us do that, then buy him in January.
Bony and his agent know the sell on clause amount and can function accordingly , everyone knows that ... except for Huw apparently .
No nastiness hear though, you can't blame Bony's agent for peeking around the corner, or Liverpool for talking if someone comes knocking. But if it was Liverpool who approached Bony's agent then rules will have been broken and we would be entitled to pursue an outcome to our satisfaction.
