https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46197761 Doesn't seem to have any negative effect on the so called elite
Mind you if this is the case, The league's UK television rights were valued at around £670m when he joined, and the last deal was worth £5.14bn. he's done a decent job and the prem clubs are getting off light at £250k a pop. Whether he should get a bonus at all is a different matter...
Income inequality in this country is at around peak levels. This story, within that story, is far far far from the tip of the iceberg, but for it not to cause moral outrage (which I don't expect it to) just shows what a sack of absolute **** we’ve become.
I'm sure he will, but it's low by Chief Exec standards and he's outperformed pretty much all of the FSTE 100 companies during his tenure.
How much of that performance is down to him I’m not sure, but either way I think most big CEOs are paid too much too so I’m biased.
Paid £2.5 mill per year ...... and clubs being asked to contribute £250k for a £5mill bonus. WTF! He's already been paid a fortune (however it ranks with FTSE companies), and no doubt has enjoyed all sorts of other benefits. ****ing ridiculous. If clubs have that sort of money just kicking around, then give it to some worthwhile cause. It's just sick.
Tight bugger I was just about to post a link to the JustGiving page I’d set up so that fans could chip in a bit for him too, but I won’t bother if that’s how you’re going to be about it Your not signing his card though...so there
Exactly what I thought when I read the article given the work he has done to establish the Premier League and negotiate the deals he has.
O/T a bit but I refused to put in at work for a collection fora lazy ****er. He was leaving.hes been there 1 year and on sick for 6 months of it. The woman doing the collection said, "well you can't sign the card then"! Gutted as I wanted to put **** off ive carried you you ****.
I can't be doing with leaving collections, leaving cards, leaving presents, leaving do's, leaving anythings. You worked for us. We paid you. You're leaving. **** off. Edit: Actually I wouldn't mind a card that said just that. I'm away to pitch a new range to Hallmark. Say it as you mean it leaving cards.
The person leaving should be the one sending the card “I’m going...obviously if I liked you all enough I’d be staying. Can’t wait to get out of here before people find all the stuff I’ve ****ed up...bye” Scudamore can have that, and can afford to have one of those made bespoke just for him
Anyway Why the **** do people have collections for people leaving? Sensible if they’re getting laid off, but if people are choosing to leave then they are probably either going to somewhere they’ll earn more money or they’re retiring in which case they’ve worked out they’ve got enough money to leave They should give everyone else a quid!
