Once went to Villa/LFC with a coach load of Villa fans from Shropshire. My 7 year old son was with me in his LFC benchwarmer coat. The tickets were for the Villa seating area and as we went in a steward came over and said my son had to take his coat off in case it caused trouble, managed to persuade him that as he was only a kid it should not be a problem and promised we would not celebrate if LFC scored.

LFC scored first and my son and I stayed in our seats and did not celebrate, however about 30% of the stand jumped to their feet as loads of LFC fans had somehow got tickets. Needless to say carnage erupted and the rest of the match was watched with a line of coppers separating the two factions.

When we got home and the wife asked my son if he had enjoyed his first match he said the match was good but the fighting and swearing were great.
