Evans would fit the system better, Big(ish) man, little man pairing. As has been said before Sharp and Chops are maybe too similar. Sharp is probably a better all round player than chops but has the same attributes. Someone to challenge in the air would be nice and hold off defenders. In other words another Whickham but realistically Evans fits that mould slightly better than Sharp and wouldn't have the price tag. And I fear Sharp is Premier League bound anyway

Not keen. On a reported £15,000 a week, already played for Norwich, not done a lot in the last 2 years and prefer Scotland + Priskin

Have to say I'm sceptical about signing Ched Evans. He hasn't done anything that noteworthy in a while. Think he's the right type of player, but I would rather just persist with Priskin if that's what we're looking at because he's a fairly tall chap.

Hardly an 'X scummer' (<doh>). He was just on loan, and anyway that's a pathetic reason for discounting him.

He looked a terrific player to me, true that he's off the boil, but he hasn't become a bad player overnight.

I'd have him over 'Notso' anyday.

Off the boil because he seemingly started playing for the Blunts, where good players sink into mediocrity. Look at Sharp's record whilst he was there.

What sort of price would Evans be? I'm not keen on Sharp for 3.5 Mil.

I agree he would be an underwhelming signing in comparison to Chops and Bowyer and possibly Sharp, but he would command a much lower transfer fee, He's only 22 and if you look around the championships most successful signings in the last couple of years. Danny Graham wasn't a marquee signing for Watford, Holt went to Budgies with little pedigree. It's all about right place, right time and we could be the right club at the right time for Evans to make a fresh start and prove himself.
