    Pool, Spuds or Soton

Who will grab the 5th place Europey spot ?

And to be honest, do they really want it ?

Are we ruling out an Arsenal implosion? It is April after all.

And Utd still have to play City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton (away).

Liverpool will still be targeting 2nd.

Rodgers should expect the sack if the Dippers finish seventh. Three seasons, lots of money spent, no further ahead than when he took over. Of course he'll point to a second placed finish last season but that was little to do with him and more to do with United having lost Fergie and Chelsea being at the start of a new cycle, plus a one off season for Suarez.

In all honesty no team deserves 5th more than City.

Top 6 currently gets a europa league spot...if liverpool and arsenal both get to the fa cup final it will be the top 7
Personally i hope we do get it...tickets are only 20 quid and a fiver for kids so me and my girls get to go to 3 or 4 extra matches...finding league matches too expensive for us all to go to more than twice a season

No fan should knock the chance of competing for another trophy, but you have to look at the bigger picture with this one. The recent pattern for PL teams is to get play 10-12 games, but get knocked out in the latter stages having fudged selection, not knowing whether to play first team players, reserves or youngsters and then to end up with league form suffering adversely because players are fatigued. Is it worth it?

    1) the promise of CL football for the winners should of changed that view
    2) probably not but like i said, purely on a personal level, at least i can take my girls to some matches.
This season we have been to 4 EL matches, 4 coc games and only 3 league games (qpr swansea and hull next month) ... the league matches cost £94 (£38 each for me and my 17 year old and £18 for my 12 year old) making £282.
The cup game cost £45 (£20 for me and my 17 yr old and a fiver for my 12 yr old)...that means those 8 matches cost £360...thats only £78 more for an extra 5 matches. Instead of going to 11 games this season we would have afforded may 6 or 7 matches. Thats a huge difference for us

  16. I think we should still be pusing for 4th, as there are at least three of the current top 4 that have it within them to go on a slide, although (admittedly) Arsenal seem the least likely of those three to screw things up.

Other than that, we'll definitely finish in the Europey places.

I'm not that fussed about the Europey, but, on balance, I'd probably rather that we were in it, as I get the feeling that the players put some store by the competition.

Why by West Ham or Stoke, not likely too far behind, nobody else is close enough to trouble the Manchester clubs.
