. Hope we're all well and good this chilly Spursday Eve. Firstly I'd like to address the addition of T̶h̶e̶ ̶C̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶E̶u̶r̶o̶p̶e̶ Chelsea to this football festival. T̶h̶e̶ ̶C̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶E̶u̶r̶o̶p̶e̶ Chelsea may have qualified late and their fans might have had their misgivings about the competition, perhaps humbled by their painful backdoor entrance to the competition or because it takes place on the day they kindly named after their fiercest local rivals, but I for one am delighted to welcome their promotion up to Europe's real top table. So in order to help them adapt to their new surroundings, I've prepared 10 top reasons why the Europey League is so great, with some attention given to T̶h̶e̶ ̶C̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶E̶u̶r̶o̶p̶e̶ Chelsea. Feel free to add your own in the space provided below. 1. Gordon Strachan. No one knows quite why he turns up on Thursday night at ITV4's studio or indeed who keeps letting him in but there's no doubt that his analysis and punditry is mostly bearable 2. Arsenal failed to qualify 3. City weren't invited 3.b) United were invited.... only kidding, they're not 4.[Chelsea fact] Despite not yet playing a game T̶h̶e̶ ̶C̶h̶a̶m̶p̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶E̶u̶r̶o̶p̶e̶ Chelsea have already bested their last outing Europey League(/Uefa Cup) when they just lost out in a tough First Round defeat to eventual Second Round runners up Viking FK 5. Liverpool weren't invited but robbed Everton for their golden ticket. Very naughty. 6. Tottenham have won the competition twice. To put that into perspective that's over 15 times more than Chelsea have won it([Chelsea fact]) 7. Arsenal aren't invited 8. Nutty European fans bring a good atmosphere 9. Mustapha Breadhat loves the competition this much... please log in to view this image 10. See 1-9 and lets enjoy this competition before Platini blows it to **** please log in to view this image Does anyone know when the draw for the next round is?
There are many benefits, winning on Thursday means you can celebrate Friday night. You then have license to give it the biggun, knowing that you can get over it all day Saturday and not miss anything, all fresh on Sunday to watch the game . If we played Saturday, I don't like the idea of the first food after a binge being the fayre on offer in, or even worse, outside WHL you need a very strong disposition when you're sober to get through some it!
I have a favourite burger van outside WHL, always a nice way to pass the time walking to Northumberland station I don't think I could handle a burger on a Thursday evening, again on Saturday and then a Sunday roast so I guess you're right.
guaranteed to be on tv. none of this looking for it on a dodgy channel because they decided to put a meaningless CL match on itv or sky even though one team has qualified and the other is out whilst the other group match is a decider.
they usually have a few channels covering it ? and they are all free...either way we get more coverage than we would if it was CL where even if we were playing a glamour tie they would stick on the usual suspects.
