Suppose he means this but it sounds like the whole plan has been knocked on its head. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48302526
When I was young, I never ever wanted to see the day, where European Football became the dominant competition over our domestic game. However, that was before the days and riches that 1992 onwards brought to the game. Now I wish they would just fook off. Please create a European League, fook off to it, and never step foot in our domestic leagues again. Yes, it will be a closed shop, but please find the biggest locks possible so they can't escape from it once in.
When you’ve got a system of getting the rich teams richer and not allowing ‘smaller clubs’ spend to compete... yes.
Clubs like United and Liverpool aren't interested in leaving the domestic league's, the league title is the big one. Not sure who's driving this idea but can't see it being embraced from an English club perspective.
Always been a weird concept, especially as the initial plans were to involve no relegation or promotion too it (not sure if it's since been changed). I'd kind of hope it went ahead though, we might start winning premier league titles then
Yeah I can see why the big boys in other European leagues might want but not sure about Liverpool/United would be keen as you say. The fans definitely wouldn't.
