What worries me are the injuries.

We recruited the best sports medicine team we could find last year. I don't have stats but I sense players are returning quicker and the extended prevention warm-up regime has probably prevented a few but we're still getting quite a few now, which I suspect has as much to do with starting our season in July, with players still to return from a World Cup.

We need a good pre-season of preparation and bedding-in of new signings, not trips to Whereveristan for lame qualifiers and another long Europa campaign for a trophy we only want to win when we're in it.

We want the league; Henry wants the league; so let's go for the league and stop the dreamy romanticism of the great European nights. We invented the term, "Great European nights" and they'll return soon enough.

    Exactly.
We want the title,as we haven't won it for a while. And we've already conquered Europe.
John Henry as you said wants the title more than anything. So lets deliver it.He has said he will ensure that the title returns home.FSG have the means and the resources to make that dream a reality.

But you really need to be in The Champs league to get the best players.
and the possibility of net being in Europe at all is quite high.
So you need more than a dream to make it a reality.

I sort of agree but with Liverpool its different because we're not a team which will never ever be in the champions league again. We're a team that have the potential to get back in to the champions league and I think that if a player is not playing in the champions league already (or at least in a champions league team that gets any further then the second round) then they are more prepared to join a team with the potential to play in the champions league as they know they'll get there eventually.

Players who play for clubs that go further then the second round over inflate their player prices anyway as they see your club as a rival. Seriously, which team ever has a chance of buying one of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Man Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea's top stars?

Liverpool without Champions league football are still Liverpool,in the same way Man United would still be Man United without Champions league football.Liverpool and Man United are in the top tier of recognised clubs, that includes,AC Milan,Real Madrid,Barcelona and Celtic.
Arsenal are in the second tier of recognised clubs.
Chelsea without champions league football would be a small club in Fulham.
Spurs without champions league football would be a small club in North London.
Man City without champions league football would be a small club in Stockport.
All 3 have one thing in common, they are all nothing clubs.

This is one of the first sensible things you have ever posted expect for the Celtic part of course. Celtic top tier of recognised clubs! <laugh> Anyway while Liverpool would be seen as a top club even for one season without Champions League football, if that trend continued the best players from Europe and abroad would not even consider playing for Liverpool. Look at your once golden boy Torres. No Champions League football this season and next and so he buggers off. Could be a trend if Liverpool is not careful. That's not wumming by the way, since the same applies to Utd as well.

Celtic are world renowned.More people have heard of the Lisbon Lions than have heard of ''Boring Boring Arsenal''.
Celtic have been European Champions.Have Arsenal?

KPR, you have to admit though, if you were a player and you had to make the choice between Spurs, Man City or Celtic (even when both sides were struggling in the premier league) you'd pick the english sides every time.

Unfortunatley it's not the 60's anymore and Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd & Arsenal only have their reputation based on what they have done in europe in the last 10 years (where by they have all reached the final or managed to pretty much always reach the latter stages of the knockout round)

Should Liverpool fail to make any european competition for the next 10 years then I think we'll find it difficult to get champions league quality players. For the moment though, I don't think we'll have a problem.

When you think about, things there is a rich history of decent players moving to clubs outside of the champions league

Off the top of my head I can think of Robinho, Adeboyor, Crouch, Babel, Toure, Balotelli, Tevez, Gourcuff....

Celtic are famous over the world. Yes and they were the first British team to win the European Cup. But to put them in the same bracket as AC Milan, Real Madrid and Barca is just madness.

There is a list of decent players moving to teams outside the champions league.Babel?I hope you are refering to Hoffenheim and not Liverpool,as Liverpool were in the champions league when Ryan Babel joined,as it was the 2007/2008 season.
Its not based on the last 10 years. If thats the case no decent player would have joined Citeh,as the last time they played in the European Cup,George Best was starting his battle with the bottle.
