We need Man City to win FA cup ,As if Wigan should win we would have to play 2 extra Qualifying rounds correct lads and that makes for a early start to the season, what are your thoughts Man City for cup.
I have a hunch that Wigan will win. If we have to play extra qualifying games then we simply have to play fewer pre-season games. I don't want the team to take Europe too seriously anyway as Premiership is much more important. A nice big game against a top side would be a welcome distraction but I worry about what happened to Newcastle.
Defo there as the fa cup is higher up the uefa ladder than the capitol one, I think we could give a double dose of bad luck to wigan by beating them.tomorrow night and then.man city baeting them on sat. still think they will avoid the drop mind

If we win the carling cup We come in at 3rd qualy round, The winners of the fa cup go in to 4th qualy round. If Man city win the cup they cant enter as in champions league and their place in europa league goes to position 6 in the league. that would move us to the 4th qualy and the 6th place team in to our spot. i hope that makes a little bit of sense. if i have it right.

Only the league cup spot goes to the league, FA cup goes to runners up. Wigan will be in Europe no matter what happens, win they get it outright, lose, and with Man City already in a champions league spot, they would get it as the runner up. Stolen from another site
Bugger the underdog - Man C for me from a totally and unashamedly selfish perspective! We don't want, or need, extra qualifying games!
