Final ce soir in my resident city of Lyon where a huge police presence is awaiting hoards of Marseille yoof.. So I'm going for 1-0 Atlético - great defence, goal by Griezmann (who is a local born an hour north in Macon) Payet will cause problems but not a lot gets through Godin and co.
Passed through Lyon a few times. Always liked the look of it although with 30k marauding football supporters there it might take on a different complexion.
FFS Who is playing? What times kick off? What are the unique attractions of the city of each team? Even Chazz, who has made being ****e an art form, would be embarrassed by this. Anyhoo, I'm going 4 nowt to Athletico. Double for Spanish teams in these magic-less European cups this year.
Last season (2017) Europa League Final was held at Friends Arena Stockholm. I didn't give a ****, didn't make a thread, didn't watch it. My comment wasn't aimed at you or this thread, but my, personal, lack of interest in the so called elite clubs. Actually football generally at the moment if I'm honest.
David Conn @david_conn Following the Europa League final, Uefa has charged Atlético Madrid for a fans' racist banner & setting off fireworks (pyro); Olympique de Marseille for crowd misbehaviour including pyro (no great surprise), damage & throwing objects, plus delaying the kick off....
