Just a question to get us all thinking. If we play malmo which looks likely I think this will be a very good test for us ,not because Malmo are a great side but because they are well into their domestic campaign. On the flip side to this does this mean we have a slight advantage over the other pl teams that are not in the Europa ? Myself personally I think the Europa league is a burden we could do without but I do think that the competiveness will give us a head start on other teams

My experience from seeing MY team play in Europe on a regular basis, is that the team evolves faster, and raises it's level of performance. The team also tires quicklier, and the need for rotation is urgent.

And the fans love European competitions: looking very much forward to Champions League this season. FC København go straight into the Group stage

Really looking forward to this season ,this adventure is something thats been missing for far too long, The squad now looks large enough to cope with the potential amount of additional games but how far we'll go is anyones guess I'm sure the manager will want to strike a balance between retaining PL status but also test the squad and himself during the cup competitions.

I think you make a very good point because at the start of the season we play some good teams but we will be physically and hopefully stronger because of starting earlier.I agree aswll well we have a very good looking squad.Being greedy I would like another striker

Does anyone know how strong Malmo really are?
I'm presuming they'll win, only asking because we know what level Hibs are at.

Malmoe shouldn't be a problem for Swansea, they are a Swedish traditional top 3 team. Swansea are a top half PL team! The "deal" is that their tournament is half-way through --> they're fit!!!

We may not be as sharp or as match fit but our quality should get us through,
