Krasnodar was founded in 1794 by the Black Sea Cossack settlers under the guidance of Catherine the Great to guard the southern border of the Russian Empire. It is located to the east of the Black Sea. The city has a population of 713, 426 people according to 2010 census and it is more ethnically diverse than the Russian North. I don't know much about this 'Swansea City' team that's in the group. Can you provide a link for them as well. Cheers.
How about just reading the swans site... http://mobile.swanseacity.net/news/article/europa-league-gs-draw-1024326.aspx?pd=635134608960000000
After hopefully celebrating a Swans victory on Sunday, open the beers and look out for our first European Group Stage opponents Valencia who will be playing BARCELONA at 8pm on Sunday night - http://www.soccerway.com/matches/20...club-de-futbol/futbol-club-barcelona/1517662/
The more I look at the draw the more I think we've got one of the hardest groups. Certainly the toughest of the English team s involved.
Don't fancy a trip to Russia in the winter either...and I think I've seen this Swiss team before somewhere and they pass the ball around very well.
The last time Wales fans went to Russia they were locked in their hotels because the Russian fans were throwing flames at them
Here's something interesting - Valencia are in the process of building the Nou Mestalla, a 75,000 seater stadium which could be open in 2014 after work was halted for two and a half years due to financial problems. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nou_Mestalla
That's a pity - the old stadium is an intimidating bowl. I hope it's not replaced by another featureless stadium.
You can fly with Easyjet from Gatwick to Valencia direct, 2 flights per day. Half of Swansea currently checking it out. Or Bristol to Alicante with Easy Jet - twice per day as well. Ryanair go from Bristol to Valencia direct. Flight out early on 19th Sep but expensive. First return is Sunday 22nd.
