Im still pissed off we are out, but the players we have brought in i would of only expected to come if we was still in it tbh ..

With the Team we have now, how far could we have gone?

These new signings would not have come if we were still in the Europa League thats how **** it is. Was a deal breaker for them. Well done to SB for getting us out of it.

The good thing is we have made freinds for life of Lokeren fans..

Im planning with a couple to go to one of there games after Christmas, 5 of them are coming back with me to watch a City home game

Think we need a banner in the stadium , something like "Hands across the water, Lokeren "

We need to aim for it again next season. With a stronger squad, we can hopefully make more of a go of it should we get another opportunity.

Initially gutted we were out. Now, probably best thing to happen to us. Look how we struggled at Villa, I know it was only one game but could see that happening regularly after Europa League games.

I hope SB respects both domestic cups now though. Another good cup run is exactly what our club should aim for, along with a solid mid-table finish.

Danny Murphy called it right when he said we'd had the best DD day.

Said exiting the Europa League was the best thing that could happened to us.

Think I read that Fulham played 17 Europa cup games to reach the final, and this year the winner gets 5 million.
Great days out for the fans, but not worth risking Premier League survival for 5 million and a cup.
Correct me if i'm wrong with the numbers.

£5m (if correct), a cup & a place in the CL next season.

It's strange the way things work, if we'd still been in the Europa League we may not have had such a spectacularly good deadline day, and, given the choice of Europa League or those four signings, I'd have the latter every single time.

Bizarre that people, if given the choice, would accept relegation to protect history, yet wouldn't just risk relegation to create it.

I've seen a few people say that on here over the past week or so.

On the other hand, some said ( before we were knocked out ) because we were in Europe we could attract better quality players.

I'm with you Bob, unfortunately some people are taken in by the PL hype & cash & have no respect for any other competition. They'd rather be watching Stevie G than taking strides into Europe.

    I'm gutted still.

The Premier League is all that matters.

Yep, but it didn't look likely until after our exit was confirmed, weird eh
