Europa Dates

I'm trying to book a company event for the summer (on a Friday). I'm trying to avoid it clashing with Europa games on a Thursday evening.

Can anyone more knowledgeable than me (all of you?) let me know which of these dates might involve us, please, or is it something we can't tell until the draw?

Hi Vin,

We join the competition on the 3rd Qualifying Round.

So you'll want to avoid 30th July & 6th August, then hopefully 20th August & 27th August.

The group stages don't start until September 17th, by which time British Summer Time is a distant memory

Sometime around next week.

 

So they go in at 1st round. Frigging early start for them! At least we get virtually an extra month to prepare.

 

When do we find out whom we may be playing, is it at the beginning of the second qualifying round or at the end?

 

According to Wikipedia, it's neither! It's in between!

First leg of the 2nd qualifying round is 16 July (second leg being on 23 July). Draw for the 3rd qualifying round is 24 hours later on 17 July.

 

That is slightly odd, however only just over a month to find out - Inter Baku here we come!
