Imo england have no excuses. If we were in a qualifying group with any of these OR whoever is in last 16 given its 3rd place team if we win the group... Well we'd expect to win the games easy. No excuses here woy. I fully expect qf them to be beaten by Portugal... That's the way england goes. Any decent side who can defend will hammer us.
Get out the group. But then its just luck of draw and when we meet first decent team. Is it done the old Way of we know who we play by where they finish in each group etc? So some teams we might want to be runners up in group or winners depending on where we finish.
In answer yes it's more or less predictable. If we finish 2nd france will await in qf If we finish first it's likely to be Portugal. 1st gets 3rd place finishers in one of 3 groups hopefully not Croatia.. That's my worst case
i'll go for the standard answer to where England will finish disappointed - oh and with an already dreadful reputation further besmirched by "fan" behaviour
