Should I be surprised there is not already a thread about the forthcoming Euro Championships on here? Perhaps not but I will start one anyway by asking..... Do you have interest in it, for the sake of watching football? if yes.... How will you support (if any one)?
If I'm honest I want England to do well but I expect them to struggle to get out of the group. Mainly just want to see some good football though although I'm sure a lot of people around here wont like me saying it - I'm an England fan for the next few weeks. I hope Hodgeson does a good job but I don't like the squad he's picked. Henderson and Downing - WTF?!
As long as you are not just saying that to be nice to me I am not really that worried if any of you guys hope England get their arse's well and truly kicked as I am not expecting much from them (as per usual)
Not bothered who wins as long as there is some good football to watch. Do I want England to do well? Yes I do. Not because I think they will but to shut the scummy press crucifying Hodgson. The scummy press already have the knives out for him and it will only get worse should they do badly. England are a poor team and they don't have any world class players and only a few international quality players.
ah cool... ok, well in that case.... I'll watch whatever is on but I'm not fussed who wins or loses tbh. Where England are concerned, I'm with taff, I hope Hodgson can prove all the haters in the media wrong... at least to the quarter-finals
i will support england and ireland as always... big problem for england is not tactics, but desire and confidence to pull on the shirt. whenever i see wales play, lots of the players lack skill and ability but i sense a real togetherness. england are divided. that, and they lack creativity. a very pedestrian midfield too. hodgson is an excellent manager. if he is given a chance (which he wont) he will achieve relative success..
I will be shouting for England but don't expect them to do well. I can't believe he has selected Downing and Walcott over Aaron Lennon. But was also surprised Defoe got picked. With few exceptions I always support UK countries and clubs against Johnny Foreigner (hope that is not considered racist as it is an all encompassing phrase with no disrespect meant to any race, creed or colour). However, with as I also support Spurs I will be a Bayern Munich fan on Saturday night. Come on you Munchers!!!!
As you can tell from my name I'll be supporting Ireland. Tough group and don't really expect them to go beyond the group stages. But hey...you never know!!
