Well glad to see that the England squad play as well as Shrewsbury Town on a bad day. Good defensively but failed to pass a ball or shoot on goal successfully.

 

Really dire game after a start that promised much.

 

ok so we lost, we were not good enough. on the positive side roy hodgsons squad played the semi finalists and possibly finalists for 120 minutes without conceding a goal. well done england, well done roy hodgson and particularly well done joe hart. floreat salopia! to win our group, if we look at that in the cold light of day, was unexpected. to hold one of the top 4 euro clubs was brilliant

Long before the Euros, I always thought it was a mistake to take Rooney or even appeal against his 3 match suspension which only muddied the water.

He showed that he was not match fit and virtually ineffective AND why oh why did Young manage to stay on the pitch for the whole of the quarter final? The only time he managed to make contact with the ball cleanly was when he hit the bar in the penalty shoot out !!!
