With less than a month to go before the final squad has to be submitted, who would you take? Squads are 23 man including 3 goalkeepers. These would be my choices:

    Hart
    Foster
    Ruddy

    Richards
    Walker
    Cole
    Ferdinand
    Cahill
    Terry
    Lescott

    Parker
    Barry
    Lampard
    Gerrard
    Milner

    Lennon
    Young
    Johnson
    Walcott

    Rooney
    Crouch
    Sturridge
    Welbeck

wouldn't disagree with that squad apart from change Glen Johnson for Kyle Walker. I think the strikers are the best we have.

Cue the budgies ****ing over Grunt!

<doh> Forgot all about Walker. <doh>

One for the set pieces after his strike last week!

On the striker front, you have the option to play Ashley Young or Theo Walcott up front or sit Gerrard behind Rooney. There are plenty of options if Sturridge and Welbeck aren't firing on all cylinders.

I have to say that I am completely underwhelmed by the whole thing. I will be away travelling for most of it and I won't be looking at a TV so I couldn't care less! The only thing I will be looking at is the news of all our brand new quality signings that will be arriving! <laugh>

Love how you put sturridge in as an emergency striker even though I'd class him as a winger.

It's an absolute nightmare for you all, you have my condolences.

<doh> Guess what Beef, he plays both as a winger and a striker. Some of the other players can play in several positions, a revelation I know.

    Incidentally, what's a nightmare?

Hardly a nightmare, more a dismay at total lack of ambition from Woy!

Let's take a look at who you did say then

    Hart- yes
    Foster- yes
    Ruddy- yes

    Richards- yes
    Walker- yes
    Cole- yes
    Ferdinand- yes
    Cahill- yes
    Terry- yes
    Lescott- yes

    Parker- yes
    Barry- no rubbish
    Lampard- yeah go on then
    Gerrard- yes
Milner- probably, but same old guard here, props for originality

Lennon- see, this is where sturridge goes silly
    Young- yes
Johnson- no, talented but a bit part player
    Walcott-- yes

    Rooney- yes
    Crouch- yes
Sturridge- clearly not a suitable forward, here on your list only because your in denial about holt, played great for England from wide positions so if take him.
    Welbeck- yes, if fit

Well done on saying that Roy would be unambitious then including Gerard, lampard AND Barry in your midfield lol, all we're missing is beckham!

Sturridges preferred position is up front in the centre, and can you name any midfielders who should be in instead of Gerrard/lampard/Barry/milner, yes some of these players are knocking on, but they have the experience!

Well why don't we be ambitious like you suggested? Scholes? Dyer? Ox-chamberlain?

I think there's a touch of schizophrenia here Beef? Who said anything about Woy's ambition or lack there of? This is about picking the best 23 to try to win the Euros.

Those are my choices, the thread is open for you to post your own choice of squad if you so wish?

Also, Barry, how the heck is he rubbish? Could well be playing a major role in the Prem title! Milner I'll grant you is not a regular starter at the moment but a great squad player to have being able to play anywhere in the midfield. Lampard? Go on then? Will captain his side for the Champions League final! As for Lennon, he's the sort of player you want to be able to bring on to inject some energy and make the difference. Sturridge can't play every minute of every game and play on the wing AND up front. That's why this is about a squad and not a first XI.
