Now that we have a new manager in Chris Hughton, I wonder if he will watch a few of the Euro 2012 games to check out some of the players. I am sure that there will be a number of quality players on show, and even though there will be a great number we cannot afford there will likely be some that we can. We might even be able to spot some players with potential who would be keen to come to Premiership.

Watched the first 2 games and thought it was an entertaining start to the tournament. Good to see all the sides scoring goals. The Russian's looked pretty good and passed the ball well. Before the tournament started I put a £10 bet on the group winners Russia, Holland, Spain and France. So, good to see the Russians off to a flyer, the Dutch are in a difficult group but I have a feeling they will do well and could even win the tournament.

So fellow Canary fans would you like to see some foreign stars coming to the club or should we stick to Paul Lambert's successful transfer policy of signing hungry young English players from lower leagues.

There have been plenty of players who looked good in the Euros and World Cup but then have been awful when they have got big money moves. Arshavin anyone?

Very true nfcwonky, especially Karl Poborsky at Man Utd never lived up to his Euro performances. Also, some players for some reason seem to do better at international level than at club level for example David Healy!

Can never buy based purely on Euro performances but Pilar looked very useful for the Czechs. Sadly almost all players would be unobtainable due to price or wages I'd imagine

One of the main issues is that as soon as players put in a good performance in the Euros they suddenly put themselves in the spotlight and onto a lot of clubs radars, meaning that clubs usually drastically overpay for any solid performer. It's a great situation for the players but my personal opinion is that buying from major tournaments is a lazy option for clubs.

keep with the hungry up and coming policy let the big clubs pay the inflated prices for the "star" ball kickers
