Can't he just shut-up and enjoy his vacation in Portugal? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18378032
Bearing in mind that it seems anyone with a couple of games in the PL walks into the England sqad these days, yet one of Europe's best defenders is left out to ensure Mr Terry stays a happy c*nt, I can only agree with Barton on this.
Would have been very welcomed Kilburn, but as that's never going to happen I can't fault his assesment of Henderson.
"Look at me everybody, look at me!" I heard someone say the other day that Joey thinks he has loads of followers who are interested in what he says because he is someone special, when in reality they are more like drivers on the motorway slowing down to gawp at a car crash.
Get rid of this bloke. He is not captain material and I cant seen how we can maintain a happy dressing room with him in it.
deluded past participle, past tense of de·lude Verb: Impose a misleading belief upon (someone); deceive; fool.
I think too many people make assumptions like this, he seems to get on very well with the team-mates (particularly the 'championship hard-working' mold)
This! The end of year drink they all went on suggests he gets on alright with a number of them. I won't speculate on the others because the simple fact is I don't know!
The truth is that when he's on his game he's a pretty decent player, or at least a couple years ago. Not the best English midfielder by any stretch of the imagination, but certainly a pretty decent one. This make it all the sadder, though. The fact that he's aware that his behaviour has adversely prejudiced his chances says to me that he didn't want international recognition badly enough to do anything about it. This also translates to club level too, but then we all knew that already. If he cared sufficiently about his legacy as a footballer and how he'll be remembered, then he'd be a different person that the Joseph Barton we all know. Like I said, it's sad. He doesn't have too many years left of top class football (if any at all after the Man. City game) and I can see him going to jail again sometime in his post-playing future.
Totally agree with this. Good post Uber. In Ireland we have a similar type of player in Stephen Ireland. Loves himself, more than anything else. Can't see what should be important in his life. Was a superb player in his early 20s until he developed this awful attitude that he now has. Barton is on the slippery slope downwards. In fact, we bought him to prob give him his final swansong in the Prem. On his day he is decent but not world class. He is an attention seeking git. I personally believe it is a sickness. He can't go more than a few weeks without having to do/say something that brings him and therefore us into the media spotlight. He has to go. He is a sick man. We are a small club with a bit of money. We are trying to establish ourselves in the Prem. IMHO i think we are at a crossroads as regards other supporter's/clubs opinions of us. We don't want to be seen again as the rich London club buying washed up stars and paying them way over their value. I want us to grow properly. I want our club to have morals and to be seen as a decent Prem club by others. I want young kids to look at us and how we develop and want to join us because occasionally a David can beat a goliath. For me, it's simple, Barton has to go. He is a disease in our club.
A jaysus Kerry, I reckon even I would get into that Squad. How about today's match with Cork?. I think Kerry will have plenty in the tank. Wales, Scotland, N Ireland and Ireland are at an all time low as regards quality. The only diff with us is that we have a world class manager. Goes to show what a top manager can achieve.
Hang on a minute....The Welsh have Bellamy, Giggs, Aaron Ramsey and Bale. Most of the England midfield tomorrow aren't good enough to get into the Welsh squad
Someone.......please..........punch him again, break his jaw and his fingers to put a stop to his deluded crap!!
