Can't even give them away in a bogof deal. THE emergency transfer window opens this week with Sunderland expecting plenty of offers for their promising youngsters. But the Black Catsâ priority will be with the immediate future of two of their senior players â Danny Graham and Cabral. Both are surplus to requirements at the Stadium of Light and have been for some time but neither was shifted in the transfer window. And Gus Poyet and Lee Congerton will look to move on both highly paid players in order to reduce their wage bill, as well as to offer opportunities to the players themselves. Charlton Athletic have already been linked to Graham. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...offload-misfits-in-emergency-window-1-6827757
They'll cost us until we eventually Get rid. Who's the 'X Offender' here? Di Fanti for Cabral certainly, Graham will have been either Quinn or Short, Can't remember who was Chairman for that transfer.
Shows how careful you have to be when signing players. We were in danger of paying Borini silly money just to get him on board, so it's a good sign in some ways that things seem to be changing for the better. Would still have loved to have signed Borini though...
