The guy is an inveterate tweet merchant but since he posted this, it's presumably true.

Particularly interesing is that he is to be loaned out, so would suggest that Mark Schwarzer is staying and also someone new is coming in - or am I reading too much into it ?

I think it's the right move from Jol. If he stays as back up to either Mark or whoever comes in next season, what is he going to learn? I would assume that Mark is staying as back up, with maybe Jol giving him the Cup games. Mark has already been offered an extension but is mulling over signing it, preferably because Jol has indicated to him that he won't be first choice next year.

His new contract has been confirmed by the Club:

Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has signed a one-year extension to his current deal, keeping him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2014, with the option of a further year extension.

Ony one year plus a one year option doesn't exactly sound as though the Club are totally convinced about him though. As said in the earlier post it's most likely he'll be going straight out on loan. Hopefully somewhere decent because I do think he's capable of taking over the No. 1 shirt.

Mind with the plethora of young keepers on our books currently, the Club really need to get there act together.
