So Caesar Razil has been overthrown and banished to the ITTV site. The Bovril assassins finally got their man. In a democratic and open election, using the Idi Amin format, Steve Clarke stood unopposed and was elected leader.

Are the Trust now moving into a new political era? One which will see them find that ever elusive policy - missing from the Razil manesfesto? Or are they going to continue to behave like petulant school girls bitching at each other or cock blocking any attempt by any of their numbers to actually submit an idea of any worth?

I give Steve Clarke 6 weeks before he gets his Waterloo.

I really like Steve Clarke, he is honest, straightforward and without a huge ego, with those qualities I don't know what he is doing heading up the Trust.:emoticon-0126-nerd: Isn't his daughter also on the Trusts Committee?

CAST at the moment feels a bit like the brass band on the Titanic.

Meire could not have been clearer. She has fulfilled her seasonal quota for "Meeting Oddball Fans" in the last week - first by letting Ben Hayes buy her drinks all evening and lead the spontaneous standing ovations at Bromley Addicks, then by conducting a high level meeting with Reams outside the Cardiff loos, which left Reamer suffering from a creamer.

Ironically, yesterday was the day that Julius Caesar was assassinated too.

I'm not too keen on the trust. I'm all for a better way, but this is not it!

The trust has an election but failed to tell anyone about it, particularly Bernie, who was replaced 5 days before he resigned?!

Yes DP I think his daughter is also on the trust board - ? I think the family dog is acting accountant.

The trust remind me of that bbc 2 play, I Claudius , loads of political intrigue and backstabbing, lots of tits but nobody knows what the hell they want to achieve and long as someone else does not come up with an good idea.

I give the trust another 6 months before the membership falls below 600.

Just let them get on with it now. I think the majority of fans don't respect them, and the club certainly don't.

If they want to hang on to something that's not there, let them. As typ says, the numbers will soon dwindle.

    Super, your right of course.

But what annoys me is the hypocrisy, the lies, the irony and above all the arrogance. Did the trust really believe they could slip in a new leader and pretend he was 'elected' this is the trust that believe in democracy but do not allow membees to vote on policy or leadership!

They disgust me. They stole the 5 quid of their gullible members to finance a geek show where cAFc worst dressed twats could parade their cardigans in the newshopper! And what happened after the meeting? Like Maggie Thatcher in 1990 Razil got Heseltined!

At least we can all take great pride for seeing the trust for what is was from the start. We were heavily criticised elsewhere - but it seems most are coming around to what we saw from the off.

They've started to get nasty in public now. This will be their downfall. A desperate man will do desperate things - I guess that saying can now translate to a football fans trust. Jokes.

Typical - do you share my incredulity that having masterminded the PR stunt which saw CAST attract 200 new members (£1,000, luvly jubbly), their Politburo of Senior Thoughtleaders led by Chairman Barney appeared to then err....retire? Titans like Razil and Rikofold now replaced by a whole new generation(s).... from the same family -whom nobody has ever heard of.

CAST has turned into a grisly episode of the Brady Bunch..

    Altogether now...

"Heres a story, about a guy called Barney, who was busy thinking up myths..
All this was done to boost CASTs numbers......."

Surely if you do not like the trust as it is, start your own rival fan group, setting out your own ideals, and way things should be run. If what you say, that the current CAST is terrible, then it should not be hard to get people to help you out.

I think it would be possible to surpass the trust with a rival organisation, but you have to ask what would it all be for - to expose them for what more and more people are already finding out each day?

They are self destructive, they can dress things up and spin it as much as they like, the truth is people aren't interested in them. I think many of the followers are there for the sake of it, blind loyalty to Charlton. Dressing it up as they're there for the good of the club will rope fans in, its why they represent such a small minority of the fans.

Sometimes in business you have to put your hands up and know when to walk away - knowing when not to invest any more money (or that of others in this case). That separates the men from the boys. Or in this case - cowboys.

It's beyond incredible, it's almost WWF! The trusts been abandoned for a reason by the Bovril Kremlin. They have another project, or a side deal with Murray. It's a plain as the boils on Rick Everetts neck that the thought leaders must distance themselves from CAST and have just sold it on to a family business.
